Basically, in a tape measure, there are two systems of


measurements: one side is English, and the other side is metric
system.

In this activity you will learn the basic unit of measurement


and a decimal system of physical units based on a unit of
length known as a meter. Nowadays dressmakers use the
English system because for them, measuring in inches is easier
than measuring in centimeters. Whatever system of
measurement you preferred to use; it is best that you know
how to convert measurements into the desired unit.
