Biography Presentation

Objective: Create a PowerPoint presentation about any person.

1. Decide whose biography you will do research on. Have this person approved!
2. Create at least a 7-slide PowerPoint presentation about the person you have chosen to research
using the Biography Worksheet you completed in class.

Slide 1: Introduction Slide (Person Name, Your name, picture of person)


Slide 2: Basic Facts, such as:
 Date of birth/death  Profession
 Place of origin  Marriage/children
 Parents/siblings  Favorite books, music, art
 Educational background  Hobbies
Slide 3: Becoming Famous
1. What area of life is the person famous for? e.g. politics, music, film etc.
2. How did they first become interested/involved in this area?
3. When did they first become well known?
4. What were the most important events during the time they were famous?
5. What were the most difficult times?
6. What were the most exciting times?
7. Did they travel to other countries?
8. Did they meet any very interesting people?
9. Did they receive any awards for their work/achievements?

Slide 6: Why you picked this person
Slide 7: Sources – websites you used to get your information

3. You must have pictures ON EACH SLIDE! Pictures must be clear and appropriate. They must
add to the purpose and design of the slides.
4. Slides should be clear, easy to read, and well balanced.
5. Correct spelling/grammar – do not plagiarize – use your own words.
6. Present to class:
 Speak clearly
 Explain each slide thoroughly
 Make it easy to understand
