NARRATIVE REPORT ON DROP – OUT

A dropout is defined as a pupil who has stopped attending school before completing the
prescribed level of education within the specified school year. The dropout rate,
meanwhile, is the percentage of pupils who drop out from a level of education in a given
school year, including those who transfer out to other places and those who complete
the school year but fail t enroll in the next or succeeding school year(s).

In Don Francisco Ong C. Seng Memorial Elementary School, though we aim for a 0%
dropout rate and as teachers tried their best for this to reduce as all schools are, this
issue can never be avoided since children enrolled in areas such as ours prefer to help
their parents in providing food on the table and livelihood. As other parents are working,
children of intermediate levels are also asked to tend to the needs of their younger
siblings especially the past two years where pandemic is at its peak.

And so with the total number of children enrolled the previous school year,

The school in all its excerpts will try harder to bring our enrollees back to school at this
time where things are normalizing back to how it used to be.
