1. Rationale:

Due to the COVID 19 pandemic, the Department of Education shifted to long distance learning.
Such situation has exposed the teaching-learning community to an unusual field. There are things that
have to be accomplished, including those that were not there before. Great adjustments have to be
embraced just to cope with the challenges of this so called “new normal”.
To remain effective in the task as teachers, there is a need to be firmed and determined not only
to heighten the skills, knowledge and capabilities but also to safeguard the psychological health.
Teachers who continuously work with competence and dedication, though, choose to be silent and
pliant in their own ways, need be given attention. Their voices must also be heard and their physical
and mental balance must also be considered. For, it is unimaginable, a turmoil and a disadvantage to
the learners if teachers themselves are no longer physically and mentally fit to teach.
It is therefore the goal of this LAC Session to boost teachers’ motivation and inspiration to get
through each surviving day, overcome any challenges and be unwavering in dealing with the varied
forms of disturbances put to them either by the system or by this difficult time.
