Name of Activity 1st QUARTER PORTFOLIO DAY & GPTA Assembly
 
Date : November 27, 2021
 
Venue : Covered Court, Silanga National High School
 
Participants : School Principal, Schools Division of Catbalogan City Portfolio
Evaluation and Monitoring Team, Junior and Senior High School Teachers,
Parents, GPTA Officers, SSG Officers.
Objectives/Agenda :
 Showcase the performance of the students through their portfolios.
 Deliver the Vision, Mission, School Programs and SOSA (State of School Address.
 Have thorough conference among school principal, teachers and parents and other
stakeholders on the welfare of the school and students.
 Express the creativity of all teachers in Portfolio Booth Set-up Competition.
 Inform the parents and other persons involved to be led by officers from the Division
Portfolio Evaluation Group namely Carmin Lim and Veronica Buenaventura through
orientation and inspirational messages.
 Conduct an Orientation on the 2021 Observance of the 18-day Campaign to end Violence
Against Women (VAW)
 Showcase the advocacy on the Nature Preservation through a TRASHION SHOW
initiated by the SSG Officers.
Highlights of the Activity: 
 The event was formally opened as Ma’am Helen R. Lobriño, a Grade 7 Math Teacher led
the National Hymn and Ma’am Mary Roll De Leon gave a heartwarming prayer in an
interactive oral and audio-visual presentation and it was all followed by an interactive
energizer that had been shared by Efraim Q. Malinao.
 An Opening Remarks that had been delivered successfully by the ever supportive,
dynamic, and respected TLE Subject Chairman, Ma’am Vivian G. Ariño.
 The Schools Division of Catbalogan City’s Portfolio Monitoring team had given their
inspirational and explicit orientation through Dr. Carmen R. Lim, the Education Program
Supervisor I – Science, on the New Normal education and other underlying factors
towards how the Department of Education provides action in response to the challenges
brought by the pandemic.
 The event was then followed by informative and interactive mid-conference led by ever
zealous and supportive School Principal, Mr. Rhum O. Bernate.
 Sir Rhum O. Bernate, the school principal had successfully delivered the comprehensive
vison, mission, school programs and SOSA (State of the school Address.
 The event also has given a way to the Orientation on the 2021 Observance of the 18-day
Campaign to end Violence Against Women (VAW) that has been given by Ma’am
Desiree F. MOnarba, School GAD Coordinnator.
 The valuable event had given way an opportunity to have the TRASHION Show
Competition. The said competition made way to showcase how artistic the students of
Silanga are and how caring they are to the nature. The participants have made their
astonishing and vibrant entries through virtual presentation.
 This virtual TRASHION show was the first activity for this school year in celebration of
the national students’ day with a theme "kabataang Pilipino: may makabansang
paninindigan gamit ang puso, galing, at talino" aligned with the core values
makakalikasan. This activity is organized by the supreme student government of Silanga
National High School in partnership with the Yes-o camp and the DepEd Catbalogan
City- Youth formation division.
 The Competition was then judged by Mr. Sherwin T. Cobero, District 8 Yes-O
coordinator and the SPG adviser of Silanga Elementary school, Ms. Carmina Joyce
Sumalinog, a professional interior designer and an event decorator, Ms. Gye Godio, the
project development officer 1 of the Youth formation division coordinator.
 Grade 12 representatives have won the competition by the name of Clariza Joy Bernardo
and Kevin Kyle Mabini, their costume entries were designed by Jerryson V. Braga.
 The affair had been fairly supervened as Sir Rhum let the parents asked some valuable
questions to teachers regarding to the performance and learning status of their students as
well as the future plans of the school for the possible face-to-face class next year through
a GPTA Assembly.
 The host which is all Grade 7 Teachers have made the Portfolio Setting Up or Exhibit a
competition.
 The parents and the invited judges have visited the Portfolio Exhibits one by one
maintaining social distancing, for the parents to see the performance of their students
plotted through Portfolios and for the judges to see how teachers set the exhibits.
 At the end of the event, Grade 10 Teachers Portfolio Exhibit has been declared as the
winner.

Results/Output: 

 With utmost cooperation from the people involved and undying guidance of the Almighty, the
Portfolio Day and Parent-Teacher Conference has been successfully carried out.
 Successful Conduct of the Orientation on the 2021 Observance of the 18-day Campaign to end
Violence Against Women (VAW).
 Well-informed parents about the status and performance of their students.
 Distribution of Temporary Students’ Progress Report Card.
 Stunning Portfolio Booths.
 The thrown queries have been successfully answered by the concerned teachers explicitly.
 Appreciation of the persons involved to the nature was heated up as they were then well oriented
how important loving our nature is.
 GPTA Assembly was successfully conducted.
