Training Syllabus
This syllabus is designed to organize and assist the trainees who wish to fulfill the requirements on their checklist and to help the counselors or
club on how he or she can have an organize plan and ideas on how he or she will help a master guide trainee.
Course Description
This course contains trainings that can help the student to increase in the areas which are needed for their development as leaders in the
making. Areas such as: spiritual, social, mental and physical. It also helps the students to cultivate its enthusiasm and passion to be involve in God’s
soon to end ministry, as an active, effective and efficient Master Guide.
Course Goals
At the end of the course, the students are expected to:
Know by heart the Pathfinder Pledge and Law, meanings of Pathfinder logo and other important information regarding Pathfinder and Master
Guide ministry.
Collect important materials that can help them in their future ministry as Master Guides.
Organize or handle Pathfinder Club/s where their service is needed, not just during training but also after being invested.
Have a commitment that whatever happens, wherever they go, they can claim to themselves that “Once a Master Guide, Always a Master
Guide.
Course Requirements
Attendance. Students are expected to attend all scheduled and prompted trainings, be on time, and be on their required uniform. They are also expected
to attend and assist in some camping of other Pathfinder clubs who asked for assistance.
Behavior during Training. While in attendance, please be courteous and respectful to your fellow trainee and instructor. Active participation is required.
Induction. Student are expected to participate on the scheduled Induction Ceremony of the club that will make a certain Pathfinder an official member of
World Wide Pathfinder Club. Failure to participate in such program will result to extension of trainings and investiture, but can do make-up by
participating in the same program conducted by other Pathfinder Clubs or Conferences.
Weekly Dues. Trainees are expected to give required weekly dues that will help them to have their personal copy of training materials and handouts.
Hiking. There will be one hiking that is needed in this course. Students are expected to attend the scheduled hike. Failure to attend one of these
requirements will result to extension of the training and investiture. Make-up is required and can be done by joining other Pathfinder trainees or clubs in
their hiking.
In-Service Training. This is known to be as one of the major requirements in this course, wherein, the students are send to serve the churches outside
the campus by handling or organizing Pathfinder Clubs in the churches in which they will be accepted.
Camping. There will be one camping that will be conducted as part of the training. The purpose of the camping is to enable the pathfinders or master
guide trainees to apply practically the theories learned and have a fellowship with other pathfinders or trainees.
Checklist. Students are expected to finish or accomplish the needed requirements given in the checklist and they are to comply on the given instructions
of the Deputy Director or the Councilors that can help them to complete it.
Investiture. This is the final requirement of the course, and students are obliged to participate in this program, wherein, they will be pronounce as full
pledge Master Guide. Students can participate in this program if they faithfully and honestly accomplish the other requirements above. Failure to attend
such result to the extension of the student’s investiture.
