Sampling Method

Purposive sampling, such as judgmental and nonprobability sampling will be used for the study.

The researcher will utilize selection of participants for the study through their professional

judgment, with the assistance of the hospitals' human resources management, to ensure validity

and reliability of identities and employment. In Iligan Medical Center Hospital, there are a total

of 44 nurses currently employed at the hospital while Gregorio T. Lluch Memorial Hospital has

60 nurses. The researcher will utilize the SLOVINS formula to calculate an appropriate sample

size from a population. Slovin's formula enables a researcher to sample the population with the

required level of precision. Also, it informs the researcher about the sample size required to

assure reasonable accuracy of results. It will be used to calculate the sample size (n) given the

population size (N) and a margin of error (e) through a random sampling technique formula to

estimate sampling size. It is computed as n = N / (1+Ne2).

Whereas:

n = no. of samples;

N = total population and

e = error margin / margin of error
