“Mechanical System Design and Simulation using Matlab

Simulink”
(Under ATAL scheme)

06 th June 2022 to 17 th June 2022

About FDP:

Simulation is undergoing significant expansion in terms of both number of courses

offered in the Institutes and number of researchers active in the field. Also accepted as
a design tools by industrial users in large scale to reduce valuable time and avoid
repetitive efforts.

SIMULINK provides various models such as mechanical models, hydraulic models,

thermal and isothermal liquid models, two phase fluid models, gas models, moist air
model and many more. One can model the entire control of mechanical system using
MATLAB and SIMULINK.

Users of simulation need to be fairly knowledgeable, which require education of both

students and working engineers. Present FDP is an attempt to fill this need. The
program is specifically designed for faculty members, research scholars, engineers &
professionals.

About Mechanical Department

The Department of Mechanical Engineering was established in the year 1912. At present,
the department offers Graduate, Post Graduate and Doctoral degree courses. It is highly
reputed for producing eminent engineers as professionals, researchers
and entrepreneurs. Many of its alumni occupy key positions in industries and institutions
in India and abroad. The department is proud to be collaborated with well-known
industries in niche areas.
To keep abreast of the technological trends the departmental faculty undergoes a
number of programmes and refresher courses and participates actively in seminars and
conferences. With rich hardware and software resources and collaborative projects with
the academia and industries, the department aims at providing an elite workforce of
future leaders in myriad areas like manufacturing, designing, quality management and
marketing.
Department also takes up consultancy work in the area of Mechanical system design
Engineering, CAD/CAM, Optimization, Steam engg, Hyradulic system design , HVAC etc.

ABOUT COEP:
