SMART BOARD TECHNOLOGY

BACKGROUND

 SMARTboard created by SMART technologies, is a large interactive screen controlled by touch and works with a
projector or computer. It allows user to control it with digital ink by use of pen or fingers. Looks and feels like a
standard white board with the added touch of the digital age.
INSIDE THE CLASSROOM

Can be used for any digital task:


 Creating graphs, tables, to illustrations in assignments

 Working out math problems, playing educational games, coloring

 Creating seating charts, watch videos, quizzes, timed assessments


PROS CONS

 Pace of lessons are increased  Later models can only be used by one person at a time

 Aids in visual learning  Like any other type of technology, it can fail

 Requires little to no instruction to use  Expensive price

 Newer models allow the teacher to face the front and  Can be a distraction if not used properly
engage along with students
 Multipurpose, useful for all subjects
