Question
When Adding OSI PI Connector in Vantage Point Manager displays the following error message

RPC Invoke Failed -10400 No Read Access - Secure Object Error.

The events recorded in the event log are as below:

Factory Talk Vantage Point ver 6.1 (tested)

Windows Server 2008 R2
PI Server on another computer.

Answer
OSIPI Connector requires read-access on the target PI server's PITUNING database table.
Speciﬁcally this can be accomplished by giving read access on PITUNING to PIWorld

NOTE: User in the PI-SDK is Connected as PIOperator as opposed to piadmin (as Vantage Point
needs 'NO' Write access to the PI Server) in the VantagePoint Server.
