Letter Of Recommendation

To whom it may concern,

It is my immense pleasure to support Sachin Sharma’s candidature to your institution for the
Master’s in Geoscience program. Currently, I hold the designation of Professor at the
Department of Physics in DAV College, Sector 10, Chandigarh. I taught and guided Sachin
Sharma for 2 years and taught him subjects like Classical Mechanics and solid-state physics. I
clearly remember him for his innovative ideas which he showcased as a student.

I met Sachin when he enrolled for M.Sc. Physics in 2019. He also reached out to me post his
graduation for professional guidance. He was not only a competitive student but also showed an
impressive grasp of technical concepts. Besides the course work, he attended workshops and
participated in technical events in his 1st semester.

Sachin has excellent communication skills. His written work is both clear and concise, and
interesting to read. He demonstrated her oral articulateness in the discussion sections that were
an integral part of the course. Students were required to analyze problematic situations, and to
develop and argue for their own views with regard to the issue in question. Sachin was highly
proficient in applying the course material in analyzing the problematic situations. He always
explained hir views very concisely and gave supporting arguments that were both clear and
persuasive. Sachin also demonstrated good team working skills in group assignments.

At a personal level, Sachin is a well-disciplined, industrious student with a pleasant personality.


He went well beyond the course requirements in the quantity and quality of his project, putting in
a lot of extra research and attending lab & office hours every week. Throughout the project, he
demonstrated great perseverance and initiative. He was not only interested in and motivated to
learn the material, but put great work into assimilating it to his own experience and developing
his own ideas about each topic that we discussed.

I strongly recommend Mr. Sachin Sharma for his graduate studies in your institution. His keen
desire to explore and learn will take him far ahead in life. I wish him all the best in his graduate
