DMEGC Solar White List

DMEGC Solar modules are considered a tier 1 solar panel manufacturer by Bloomberg New Energy Finance. This means they have sold their own-branded solar panels to at least six projects over 1.5MW that were financed non-recourse by six different banks. Several major banks in Europe have DMEGC Solar modules on their "white list" of approved manufacturers. However, being on the tier 1 list or white lists does not guarantee quality, and buyers should still do technical due diligence before purchasing. Financial stability is also important, and DMEGC Solar scores well on Altman-Z scores which assess bankruptcy risk.

Are you save by selecting a BNEF tier 1 qualifier?

BNEF itself is clear that being on the list is not a direct
measure of the quality of the product or even financial
stability of the company that made it:
As per BNEF “We strongly recommend that module
purchasers and banks do not use this list as a measure
of quality, but instead consult a technical due diligence
firm ... the classification is purely a measure of industry
acceptance.  There have been many examples of quali-
ty issues or bankruptcy of Tier 1 manufacturers”.

DMEGC modules are Solarif Certified.

Purchasing a Solarif-certified pv panel
safeguards that in the event of a bank-
ruptcy or discontinuance of the manu
facturer, the insured PV modules will
continue to function under the manufacturer’s product
warranty. In the event of Non-Solarif-certified modules,
it could have a negative effect on your project returns.
The Solarif-certification indicates that your product has
been produced according to Solarif’s quality standards
which leads to less failures and improved consistent fu-
ture returns. Solarif certification also provides an option
for external coverage of factory warranties if required
for tenders or supplier selections.
