DETERMINING THE LEVEL OF SERVICE

IN THE SAYRE HIGHWAY FROM CALTEX TO SHELL


A Project Proposal for CE 126 – Transportation Engineering

INTRODUCTION
According to google map, Caltex (point 1) going to Shell (point 2) is divided into
two roads which is the main road where buses and trucks should pass by which is
assigned to our group. This road is a collector and has a 4-lane highway with a length of
3.6km. While the alternative route is for the convenience of the private vehicles to avoid
traffic congestion.

METHODOLOGY
We will visit the site with proper safety measures for the actual counting of the
vehicles passing through this road during peak hours to determine the level of service.
Making sure to wear facemasks and face shields; apply social distancing and safety
protocols to avoid accidents.
