Emotional intelligence (referred to as EQ) is your ability to be aware of, understand and manage your
emotions. Why is EQ important? While intelligence (referred to as IQ) is important, success in life
depends more on EQ. Take the assessment below to learn your EQ strengths!

Using your EQ strength − for your strongest EQ domain, give an example of how you demonstrate your
strength in your daily life or work: As an Mba student with a hectic schedule, it is very important for me
to manage my time and stick to my set goals. I work with teams on a daily basis therefore I try to listen to
Listen to their point patiently because in a team everyday should get a say to maintain the spirit. Even during
stressful time, I maintain my composure to get my job done before deadline efficiently.

Effects of your EQ strength − for your weakest EQ domain, give an example of how this affects you
AND others in your daily life or work: Sometimes showing a bit of emotion can be beneficial for a
relationship but I have failed to do this which has cost me my friendships. I often get stressed or sad about
External events which I am currently working on. A lot of time, I find it tough to put my thoughts into words
be it class discussion, presentations or regular day to day conversations.

Improving your EQ strength − for your weakest EQ domain, what steps can you take to strengthen
yourself in this area? How will this benefit you in your daily life or work? The steps that I plan on taking
are being more open to my feelings, do not overthink my actions and the reactions they will get. I am also
Trying to be less skeptical about other people. I feel these changes will help me to connect with people more
and help with networking. This will enhance my team spirit.
