Introduction Aws

Amazon Web Services (AWS) began in 2002 with a few services and has since expanded to offer a wide range of tools for storage, computing, analytics, artificial intelligence, and more. Some of AWS's most popular early services included S3 cloud storage (2006), EC2 compute instances (2006), and SQS messaging (2004). AWS has become a market leader and major profit driver for Amazon, outperforming Amazon's retail business and accounting for over half of Amazon's income. AWS offers services on a pay-as-you-go basis and provides free tiers for testing. It competes primarily with Microsoft Azure, Google, and IBM.

INTRODUCTION

Amazon Web Services (AWS) began with only a few services in 2002. Amazon redesigned its
computer infrastructure in 2003 with the goal of standardising, automating, and focusing it on online
services. In 2004, Amazon SQS became the first publicly available AWS service a year later. AWS
debuted three new services in 2006: Amazon S3 cloud storage, SQS, and EC2, converting the
company into a suite of online core services. The Elastic Block Store and Amazon CloudFront were
launched and accepted by AWS in 2009, while S3 and EC2 were implemented in Europe. AWS started
giving certification for its services in 2013, and it offered an autoscaling solution in 2018. Over time,
AWS has introduced a variety of services that have benefited consumers.

BIG DATA MANAGEMENT AND ANALYTICS

AWS provides a range of big data analytics and application services. The following are examples:
Elastic MapReduce is a Hadoop framework provided by Amazon for processing large volumes of
data. Amazon Kinesis is a suite of tools for streaming data processing and analysis. AWS Glue is a
data extraction, transformation, and loading service. Using Amazon Elasticsearch Service and the
open source Elasticsearch tool, a team may do application monitoring, log analysis, and other tasks.
Amazon Athena for S3 allows analysts to query data. Analysts may use Amazon QuickSight to
visualise data.

MOBILE DEVELOPMENT

The AWS Mobile Hub offers a variety of tools and services for mobile app developers, including the
AWS Mobile SDK, which provides code examples and libraries. A mobile app developer may also use
Amazon Cognito to manage user access to applications and Amazon Pinpoint to send push
notifications to app users and track their effectiveness.

ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE

AWS offers a number of AI model creation and delivery platforms, as well as ready-to-use AI-based
apps. The following components are included in the Amazon AI toolkit:

Amazon Lex is a voice and text chatbot, Amazon Polly is a text-to-speech translator, and Amazon
Rekognition is a facial and image recognition service.

AWS also provides developers with the tools they need to construct intelligent apps that use
machine learning and complex algorithms.

Using AWS Deep Learning Amazon Machine Images, developers can create and train customised AI
models on clusters of graphics processing units (GPUs) or compute-optimized instances (AMIs). The
deep learning programming frameworks MXNet and TensorFlow are also accessible on AWS.

AWS technology powers Alexa Voice Services, which developers may access.
MESSAGES AND NOTIFICATION

AWS messaging services allow users and programmes to interact with one another. SQS (Amazon
Simple Queue Service) is a controlled message queue that sends, receives, and stores messages
amongst components of distributed systems to ensure that they all work correctly together.
Endpoints such as end users or services can receive publish/subscribe messages using Amazon
Simple Notification Service (SNS). Users may send push messages to their mobile devices using SNS's
mobile messaging feature. To send and receive emails, IT professionals and marketers can utilise
Amazon Simple Email Service (SES).

AWS PRICING MODELS AND COMPETITION

AWS' cloud services are provided on a pay-as-you-go basis, with prices ranging from one hour to one
second. Customers that pay in full or sign up for one or three-year use commitments can reserve a
specific amount of processing power at a discounted cost. If potential clients are unable to pay the
costs, they can access AWS services through the AWS Free Tier. Customers may test out AWS
services for free, with up to 60 things available and the potential to create on the AWS platform.
Always free, 12 months free, and trials are the three sorts of free tiers. AWS competes primarily with
Microsoft Azure, Google, and IBM in the public IaaS market.

S3 EC2 and other first generation services(2006- 2010)

On March 14, 2006, Amazon launched S3 cloud storage, followed by EC2 in August. Andy Jassy, the
creator and vice president of Amazon Web Services, claimed in 2006 that Amazon S3 represented
"the future of computing." "incredible " "assists developers in worrying less about where they'll keep
data, whether it'll be safe and secure, if it'll be available when they need it, server maintenance
expenses, and whether they'll have enough storage." Rather than finding out how to store data,
Amazon S3 empowers developers to concentrate on data innovation." Outside of Amazon, the first
beta user of EC2 was Pi Corporation, which Paul Maritz co-founded, and Microsoft was one among
the first corporate customers. SmugMug, one of the first AWS users, reported a $20,000 savings
later that year.

MARKET LEADERSHIP

James Hamilton, the chief of AWS compute, data centre, and network design, wrote a retrospective
essay in 2016 to highlight the online service's ten-year history from 2006 to 2016. As an early
believer and fervent proponent of the technology, he joined the AWS engineering team in 2008. For
the first time in 2016, AWS outperformed Amazon's North American retail segment, with sales of
$2.57 billion and net profitability of $604 million, a 64 percent gain over 2015 Q1. Jassy was then
appointed to Division Chief Executive Officer. Amazon's stock gained 42 percent at the same period
as a result of higher profitability, with AWS accounting for 56 percent of the company's income. AWS
has a cash balance of $17.46 billion.

ADVANCE TECHNOLOGY AND CAREER OPTIONS

IT is available on the cloud. Businesses may use AWS Cloud to put up complex real-time services and
increase profits and productivity. Understanding the AWS cloud is simple because to the abundance
of Amazon documentation. Organizations need a lot of extra control and flexibility over the
technologies they design, and they wanted the AWS cloud platform to provide that flexibility while
still allowing them to remain innovative in the future. The cloud platform is easy to build and
manage since it is scalable, expandable, and distributed. The majority of the maintenance is handled
by Amazon, and backups are performed automatically. It is feasible to reduce manual tasks, which is
becoming a popular method in today's businesses. The network isn't overloaded, and appropriate
security controls are in place.
