Thirty Three
£33.28
nstalment Amount In Pounds & Two Remarks NA or Not applicable
(362/12+10.33%)
words Eight Pence
This is how you have to calculate the
instalment:

Calculation Exercise:
• Date If Issuance = 08/03/2004
• Date Of Renewal = 08/03/2005
• Contract Value = £362
• Service Tax = 10.33% (Flat for the project)

• Now we have to calculate Month Of Contract

• Months of Contract=Date Of Renewal – Date of Issuance
• Therefore Month Of Contract = 08/03/2005 – 08/03/2005 = 12
• (Note Date difference should be calculated in months)

• Instalment Value Without Tax=Contract Value / Month Of Contract = 362/12 = 30.16666666666667

• Now we have to calculate Tax on instalment
• Tax On Instalment = 10.33% Of Instalment Value i.e. 10.33% of 30.16666666666667 = 3.116216666666667 (Tax value on instalment)
• Now To calculate the final instalment value i.e. Instalment Value (without Tax) + Tax Value on Instalment = Final Instalment Value
• Ex: 30.16 + 3.11 = 33.28
• Just write the value up to two decimal places i.e. £33.28

Example: Contract Value / Contract Duration + Service Tax (10.33%) = Instalment value
I.e. 362/12 + 10.33% = £33.28
