Parental alienation is a form of psychological abuse where one parent systematically removes the other parent from a child's life by coaching the child to unjustifiably reject that parent, destroying a previously healthy relationship and causing severe emotional damage. It involves influencing the child to disrespect, limiting contact with, making false allegations about, and belittling the targeted parent. People can help by joining nonprofits raising awareness and talking to legislators.
