YOUR ANNOTATIONS

Gamification in education refers to the introduction of game design elements and gamefic
experiences in the design of learning process. It has been adopted to support learning in a variety of
contexts and subject areas and to address related attitudes, activities, and behaviors such as
participatory approaches, collaboration, self-guided study, completion of assignments, making
assessments easier and more effective integration of exploratory approaches to learning and
strengthening student creativity and retention ( Caponetto et al. 2014 ).

In this lesson, I made use of games in planning, developing and assessing the lesson.
Through incorporating games, student’s participation was maximized.

ACCOMPLISHMENT REPORT ON THE UTILIZATION OF STRATEGIC

INTERVENTION MATERIAL IN CSS G12-TVL

Teaching effectiveness has always been the aim of every teacher in the academe.
Whether a teacher is a fresh graduate or an experienced one, there will always be a
need to adopt, improve and improvise teaching strategies to adapt to the ever-
changing world of the learners. Administrators keep encouraging the teachers to
advise strategies and techniques to address the unlimited needs of the pupils and the
changing trends with the context of the student’s lives.
Strategic intervention Materials (SIM) is a vital instructional material to improve
the performance levels in various learning areas in schools. Various studies had
proven this claim and various SIMs have been prepared for different areas and
competencies. Some of these materials however are not fitted for the type of learners
in the locality. All students learn at different speed and react differently
One of the TVL strand in SHS offered is Computer Systems Servicing. This course
consists of several Most essential Learning Competencies (MELCs). This course is
design to be taken for one school year or the whole grade 12.
The following objectives were taught for 1 week:
1. Plan on how to configure a network cable
2. Identify and perform network cable testing

After teaching the competency for almost a week an assessment, was given. Based
from the result of the given assessment, 2 out of 12 students of G12 ICT-TVL
attending limited face to face classes were not able to meet the need
competencies.
