The first speaker, Mr. Jet Orbida, NOAB Director/ Peacepond and Farmers Association
President, promotes Green Jobs in the Philippines. According to him, there are different ways
of helping to improve our environment. One of the most effective activities is the Green Jobs
because it helps our farmers working hard for the past centuries. Green Jobs aims to improve
the organizations and enterprises for the effective use of the energy and raw materials of our
environment. It can minimize pollution and control the waste management to use recyclable
materials. Green Jobs function as an environmentally and sustainable work for social and
economic development. These programs offer employment opportunities with less
environmental impact. It focuses on ecological issues and incorporates employment
opportunities to lessen greenhouse emissions. These programs contribute to restoring,
preserving, and enhancing the entirety of the environment.
Green Jobs are valuable economic and environmental development, reducing the
environmental impact due to the increasing number of commercial establishments, and
associates the increase in greenhouse emissions and pollution. It improves energy efficiency by
providing alternative renewable fuel sources; hence, green jobs minimize or avoid all forms of
wastes. These programs protect ecosystems and biodiversity as a response to climate change.
Ms. Loren Legarda is one of the speakers of this event. She gave her knowledge about
GREEN ACT: Practice of Protecting the Environment by Introducing Green Jobs & Green
Consumerism. She discussed very well how important our environment. And I remember when
she mentioned the law she had passed for our environment. It encourages me to change and
protect our environment. She also gave examples based on her experience to be understood by
those who attended. Part of the discussion focuses on how we protect our environment.

Summary of Comments:
I am happy learning so many things from the webinar especially in recyclable plastics and how it
would turn into something useful. I realized that if we do not care on our environment, it would
eventually and severely affect the future, and no one should be blamed but us in today who has the
capability to manage everything, but we took it for granted.
For me, there is nothing left and all I can say is that even though I watched the webinar late, I can
say that it was good, and I was persuaded because the presentation was good and their goals and
guidelines for us. Especially to me as a student
Thank you for sharing such knowledge that I can totally relate and use as a trainee in my field.
It is good to gain knowledge about green jobs and consumerism. Because in present time these are
the things that many people do not know about.
This webinar not only educated us, students, but made us to open our eyes and minds, and be aware
of what is happening in our environment. The speaker was very knowledgeable about the topic and
was able to answer all the concerns and questions clearly. I just want to suggest that next time they
conduct this kind of webinar, try to avoid having any technical problems so that the flow of the
webinar would be smooth. I know that it is normal to have technical problems but there can be ways
to avoid it and that would improve and provide a better experience for the listeners and participants.
Thank you for inviting us in this very informative webinar that motivated us to wake up and give a
hand in saving our environment. ❤️
The webinar was great, and I have learned a lot of things especially with regards to protecting the
environment.
The only problem that I found in the webinar was the technical problem, I think. Because when they
shared their screen and present some videos, there was some echo in background, and I also hear
some voices in the background while the video is playing. But overall, I learned a lot about how the
current generation will protect the environment today.
