Materials

• 2mm crochet hook or any size you prefer

• I have used 4ply 100% cotton, yarn. Cream, white, green, yellow, light brown and black.
(Length of the doll is ~37cm or 15”)
• Tapestry and sewing needle
• Dress pins
• Scissors
• Makeup: pink or red blush and a small brush
• Stuffing (fiberfill, polyfill, etc.)

(You could insert a hot glue stick inside the neck to hold the doll's head. I include
instructions later on how to insert the glue stick. This would not be suitable if the doll is
intended for younger children.)

Useful Tips
• All amigurumi toys are crocheted with tight stitches. Avoid small holes. If there are any
holes through which stuffing material can be seen, use a smaller size hook. (Use a smaller
hook size than is recommended on the label of the yarn.)

• To avoid seams, all rounds are worked in a continuous spiral. Do not join or turn it unless
otherwise instructed.

• Use a stitch marker or a piece of yarn to mark the last stitch of every round.

• Stuff your amigurumi as you go. It is very hard to stuff the detail evenly when it is
almost finished. While stuffing do not forget to shape the body parts to give them a nice
accurate shape. Never over stuff them.

Sew the Head to the Body. I am using a hot glue stick to support the head. (It is not suitable if the
doll is intended for younger children.) I made space with a pen for the hot glue stick. I pushed it
down till the bottom and cut the upper part leaving 5-6cm from the neck.
