Due to the number of inquiries we have received in reference to horn plungers wearing excessively or

unevenly, a steer washer service part has been established. This washer increases the contact area
of the horn plunger from a diameter of 39mm to 43mm.

The part number for this Steer Washer is 48819-2K00E, this washer is installed by removing the
steering wheel, placing this washer, undercut side down, over the steer shaft and pressing it on to
the existing horn plunger contact plate.
