I. OBJECTIVES

At the end of the lesson the students are expected to:


a) Provide the meaning of Marcotting;
b) Demonstrate the steps in marcotting and
c) Value the benefits of marcotting.

Plant to use in marcotting
Materials: knife, yarn, transparent plastic cellophane, soil and pictures

B. Motivation
The students will guess the jumbled letters regarding the new lesson. Follow up questions:
1. Did you ever try to plant fruit bearing trees?
2. What fruit bearing trees did you plant?
3. Aside from planting seeds, what do you think is the other method that we can use?

C. Lesson Proper
1. Introduction to Asexual propagation
2. Definition of Air layering/marcotting
3. Different tools to use in marcotting
4. Importance of marcotting
5. Steps for marcotting

D. Generalization
1. What is asexual propagation
2. What is Air layering/marcotting?

4. Enumerate the steps in marcotting

E. Application
The students will be divided into three groups to demonstrate how marcotting is done. They have
10 minutes to do the task.

IV. EVALUATION
To get a perfect score, they will be guided by a rubric that contain a certain point for the given
task.
