1) what is your name/full name ?
My full name is Ho Hoang Linh or you can call me Linh or MJ for short.
2) Where do you come from?/ Who do you live with ?
I live with my parents and my grandmother in a peaceful small town in Quang Tri, which
is a province in the Central of Vietnam.
3) What is your personality?
I’m an out-going, sociable person so it’s very easy for me to make new friend. Sometimes
I’m a hot-tempered person but I think it’s not good for me and my relationship with other
people, so now I try to control my temper day by day.
4) What is the weather in your hometown /country like? Does the weather affect what
you do ?
Well, actually I live in the Central of Viet Nam so it’s quite hot hear. The summer weather
is hot and the winter is so cold. There are some storms every now and then so it’s quite
hard for my villagers to do their work.
5) What do you dislike about your neighborhood where you live?
As much as I enjoy the quietness of my neighborhood, sometimes it can be a little too
boring. There are not a lot of shops and restaurants there, so whenever I want to buy
something, I have to go to another places which are far from my house.
6) Tell me three reasons that you choose our school.
- The lectures is well qualified and friendly
- The university environment is quite strict but it’s good for me to learn a new skill
- The modern facilities help me to enrich my knowlegde and it’s convenient whenever we
study
7) Do you have another name/nickname ? Can you spell it ?
- My nick name is Jade or J
8) Does your name/nickname have any special meaning?
- My nickname represents for the strength. Jade is a color and Henry means the boss. I
hope that I will become stronger and stronger and never give up.
9) have you ever changed your name? why?
- Well I have to say yes. My Vietnamese name is quite long and popular with a lot of
people. So I have to find another short name to introduce myself with other people.
10) If you have an opportunity, will you change your name? Tell me your reason.
11) Do you work or study? / What do you do ?
Well, I am attending TDTU, short for Ton Duc Thang University. My major is
International Business .

12) What do you like about your major? Why ?


Well, what I love about International Business is that it offers a range of career options.
The skill sets of my major are also transferrable, so you can easily switch to something else
if you want to. Actually, I just put my major as a defaut. But gradually, I’ve grown fonder
of this field. I know the technical side of it can also be boring and difficult to some people,
but once you get the hang of the basic principles, it becomes very fascinating.
13) What do you dislike about your major? Why ?
Well, first of all, I have to say that I love my school, my classmates, my teachers and so on.
However, there are several things that I do dislike. For example, the discipine at school is
quite strict, I know it’s good for me but sometimes I can stand it.
14) What do you dislike/like about your university ? why ?
I have to say that I love my school, my classmates so much. The teachers are well-qualified
and friendly, my classmates help me to adapt to new environment in university. Moreover,
my school has modern facilities as well as good discipline which is suitable for me to have
a better manner and behavior.
15) What are you going to do after graduating? / Do you have any plan after
graduating ?
Well, as I was saying, there are so many directions you can go when you are a Economic
major. So after graduating, I think I will apply for a job as a foreign company to enrich my
experience as well as my job skills.
16) Do you hope to get any certificate?
As I was saying, I hope to work for a foreign company after graduting so I want to have
some certificates such as: IELTS, MOS, TOEIC. These certificates will help me to get a
well paid

17) Do you like music/movie ? What kinds of music/movie do you listen to / watch ?
- Yes, I am a big fan of music. It’s a wonderful way to relax, in my opinion. I listen to
music whenever I study.
I personally listen to a various kind of music. US – UK songs is what that I listen to the
most – you know, it’s very catchy, and it’s for everybody.
18) Have you ever been to a concert ?
- No, I never been to a concert, because I live in a small town, so whenever I want to join
a show, I have to travel to another town which takes a lot of time. So I’m quite lazy to
take part in it.
19) When are you most productive during the day?
I have to say that I work best in the night. At the end of each day, I just feel so full of
energy and ready to do whatever needs to be done.

That’s quite strange but the night make me feel productive.


20) What is your daily routine?
Well as I was saying, I’m an night owl. So I stay up late and get up at 7 o’clock. Then I
have breakfast and get ready to study. After that, I have lunch and take a nap. In the
afternoon, I usually do some exercise to keep fit. At night, I talk with my friends and spend
time with my family and I jot down something at my planner book.
21) What is your favorite color? Do colors have any special meaning in Vietnamese
culture?
- I gotta say that when it comes to colors. Blue and white is my favorite color. My
nickname is a kind of color too. If I have to pick a color for something, I always buy a
blue gift one.
- Yes, of course, different colors do carry different meanings in VietNam. For example,
people think that red is a color bringing happiness, so it’s very commonly used in
traditional festivals like Tet holiday or something like that.
22) Are you an active person?
Yes. I would consider myself quite an active person. I often do exercise to keep fit.
Another activity I also do everyday is to do a little walking. Most of us these days spend a
lot of time in front of out computers, so it’s good to get up and move around sometimes.
23) What sports are popular in Viet Nam?
- Football is definitely the king sport in Viet Nam. Vietnamese love watching football
matches, especially when the national team is playing, of course, playing soccer.
Another kind of sport that is quite popular in Viet Nam is badminton. You can see a lot
of people get up early to play badminton on the street. I guess Vietnamese people are
quite sporty.
24) Do you think that children should do exercises regularly?
Absolutely, I think playing sports has a lot of benefits for children. It helps them get
stronger physically. Besides, playing team sports also help them to know how to get along
well with one another and how to work in teams. There are parents who are afraid of
letting their children play sport for fear that they will get hurt. But I think it is something
really good for the kids.
25) Do you still keep in touch with your friend from school? Do you like chatting with
friends online?
To be honest, I don’t really keep in contact with friends from school anymore. There’re a
few high school friends that I still hang out with every once in a while but friends from
middle school are concerned, I haven’t talked to them since forever.
Yes, I talk to my friends online practically every day, maybe every hour, even. There’re a
lot of apps you can use these days to chat to your friend; I just use facebook, messenger
and instagram because it’s simple and has a lot of cool functions.

26) What is the most popular mode of transportation in your country?


As you can realize whenever you come to some provinces or cities in our country, the
most popular mode of transport in VietNam is the motorbike. I means, almost everyone
rides a motobike. It’s certainly cheap compared to, say, cars.

The company I like most is Shopee. It works at a online market for everyone to
shopping online. Shopee creates web as well as app on mobile phone allowing
customers can trade and buy a lot of things. Besides, Shopee knows how to attract
customers by setting up some flash sale day, providing voucher for members that
creates a lot of profits.
