Introductory Message
This learning material hopes to engage the learners in guided and independent
learning activities at their own pace and time. Further, this also aims to help learners
acquire the needed 21st century skills especially the 5 Cs, namely: Communication,
Collaboration, Creativity, Critical Thinking, and Character while taking into
consideration their needs and circumstances.
In addition to the material in the main text, you will also see this box in the

As a facilitator you are expected to orient the learners on how to use this
module. You also need to keep track of the learners' progress while allowing them to
manage their own learning. Moreover, you are expected to encourage and assist the
learners as they do the tasks included in the module.

Arrange the following step-by-step procedures of Creating a Chart. Use number 1-5
in arranging the procedures in chronological order. Write your answer on the
spaced provided.
______ Use the buttons on the top right of the chart to make your settings
______ Go to Insert Tab, click Recommended Charts, and then choose any one from
the displayed chart.
______ Choose a category from the list, then select one of the designs from the
pictured charts in the category.
______ If you do not want to use any one of the recommendations, click the All
Charts tab.

CREATING A CHART
1. To move the graph, click the mouse pointer to any blank space within
the graph.
2. Drag the mouse pointer to wherever you want to place the graph
within the worksheet.
3. To resize the chart, click the mouse pointer to the corner of the graph
4. Click the mouse going to the left or right, up or down to increase or
decrease the size of the graph.
5. In moving the chart, click the mouse pointer to the edge of the graph.
6. Just click the mouse and drag the graph to the new location.
7. Click outside the graph to deselect the command.
CHANGING CHART TITLE AND LEGEND
1. To change the chart title, click the Chart Tools Layout Tab and go
to the Labels Group.
2. Click the Chart Title icon and select Above Chart.
3. Type your title on the textbox that will appear on the chart.
4. To change the legend, right click the mouse on the legend to show
the context menu.
5. Choose Select Data and on the dialog box, click Edit and type the
legend that you would like to place in your chart.
When you click it, you'll see a list of chart elements that you can add to your chart.
CHANGING COLORS, PATTERNS, AND ENHANCING THE APPEARANCE OF A
CHART
1. In changing and putting color or patterns on the chart, click the mouse
pointer to any blank space within the graph.
2. On the Format Tab, select the Shape Fill button to change the color or add
fill effects on patterns on the chart.
3. Just press the right button of the chart to show the Format Chart area
dialog box.

DIRECTIONS: FOLLOW THE STEPS
Using the boxes below, write the seven (7) steps in moving and resizing a Chart.
Activity 2
Directions: Using MS Excel Application in your Computer or cell phone,
Type the data on the left and create a Bar Graph.
Improve the layout complete with labels, headings, font, colors, and shading.
Save your file as BAR GRAPH and close your file.
You can screenshot or video your finished work. After finishing the activity,
send your work to your facilitator through messenger or email.
