My family lives in the city. Each summer, I go to my uncle’s farm with my family. We spend there
three weeks with Uncle Joe. When we are there, Uncle Joe takes me for a ride on his enormous tractor. I
also feed the chickens. It is fun to watch him milk his cows. My sister Molly, likes to go out by the lake to
feed the ducks and watch them swim. She also likes to help collect eggs in the morning and bring them
inside. Then Aunt Betty cooks the eggs.
My favourite thing when visiting Uncle Joe happens at night. All of the family gathers together on
Uncle Joe’s porch after dinner. Uncle Joe tells us all about life on his farm. Sometimes he tells us about
how things have changed since he was a little boy. We tell Uncle Joe about our life in the city and what we
have been doing all year.
