Mga Kababayan ko is a song made by Francis Magalona who was hailed as the King of

Pinoy Rap. The song pertains about the advices of Francis Magalona to our countrymen which is
to be proud of who we are and don’t be ashamed our culture and origin. In relation, the
teachings of the Sons of the People resemble the song because it depicts the idea of
nationalism and the code of conduct which every Katipunan members should follow.
The line “Whether our skin be black or white, we are all born equal” in the Katipunan
Code of Conduct is mentioned in the song of Francis which reminds us that despite of
differences like the color of our skin we should always be respect on one another because we
are all equal. Also, in the Katipunan code of conduct which is no. 11 it pertains about woman
which mentioned in the song that we should respect them and to not see them as a thing which
you can do everything you wanted but see them as a precious one because they are the reason
why are you here. Lastly, the line “ it is rational to be charitable and love one’s fellow creature
is related to the line ‘ibig kung ipabatid na lahat tayo’y kabig bisig which means we have to
unite as one and love each other because at the end of the day we are the only ones who will
work together for our nation’s success.
