I Want To Stay Awake - Class 4

My favourite drink is tea. I like to prepare it by boiling water and adding one tea bag. I let it steep for 3-5 minutes until it turns a golden brown color. Then I remove the tea bag and add a small amount of honey. I find the warmth and subtle flavor relaxing.

Q1. Why did the Emperor call the doctor one morning?

Ans1.The Emperor called the doctor because he was feeling tired and sleepy. He
was not able to keep his eyes open and felt sick.

Q2. What did the doctor give the Emperor to eat? What made the Emperor
angry?

Ans2.The doctor gave some dark, dry leaves to the Emperor to eat. They were
tea leaves. The Emperor got angry because the tea leaves didn’t taste good.

Q3. Why did the Emperor ask the servant for a cup of hot water?
Ans3.The Emperor asked the servant to bring a cup of hot water. He put a few
tea leaves in it. It became a beautiful golden colour and smelt very nice.

Q4. Did the Emperor drink the water with the tea leaves? How did he feel?

Ans4.Yes, the Emperor drank the water with the tea leaves. He liked it very
much. He was fully awake and felt young and strong again.
