Introduction
This product is an indicator for weight indication control and designed to be
suitable for all kinds of instruments (packing machine, various tensile /
compression test equipment) widely applied in the whole industry.

This product is equipped with one RS-232C port as standard so that it can
communicate with external devices such as computer. In addition, it is
convenient to use for weight control because it has three relay output required
for control by default.

Before using this product, please fully understand this manual and use it
properly to make full use of all functions in this product.

4) Description of F-function
Setting of weight back-up function

● 0 Normal Mode
F01
1 Back-up Mode

▶ The weight of an object placed on the weighing m/c is not normally

memorized during power failure or power off in normal status. Therefore,

the machine must be powered on after removing weighing material on the

machine.

▶ In case of back-up mode, since the zero status of the initial weighing
m/c is memorized even during power failure or power off, the weight of

the weighing material is displayed when power is restored.

24
Setting of motion band

This function is used to display the stable

status by using the width of weight change

F02 5 0~9
per hour.0: Lowest vibration (weak) ~ 9:

High vibration (strong)

▶ When a weighing material is placed on the weighing m/c, a slight

vibration usually occurs.

When the vibration is stabilized, the "Stable" status indicator lights up on

the display. The motion band setting is to set the weight range that such

vibration is stabilized in.

Setting of zero tracking range

F03 1 0~9

▶ The zero tracking means that, if the weight is changed slightly

(environment, temperature, wind, dust, etc.) due to any reason, it will be

automatically zeroed when it does not exceed a certain range of scale

with a certain time.

25
Setting of auto zero range

When the weight is less than the setting value

and becomes stabilized, this function displays
"0" on the display at that moment.
This function is used to automatically set the
F04 00 00~99
scale to zero with no use of the zero key
before re-weighing when there is the remained
value less than the setting value in the
weighing m/c.

▶ Ex 1) If the maximum weight, the minimum unit and F05 setting value
are, respectively, 100 kg, 0.01 kg and 30 and the weight is stabilized

within ± 0.30Kg, the current weight is set to zero.

▶ Ex 2) If the maximum weight, the minimum unit and F05 setting value
are, respectively, 10kg, 0.002kg and 50 and the weight is stabilized within

±0.050kg, the current weight is set to zero.

Digital filter range

F05 15 01~49 Weak - Strong

▶ Use this function adjusting the setting value according to

your environment (surrounding vibration).
▶ To increase the response speed of the indicator, decrease the
setting value.

Setting of zero key / tare key operation conditions

The zero key is enabled only when the weight

You can, also, enable the zero key when there

F61
1~99 Time setting from 0.1 to 9.9

Setting of near zero output range

Near zero output range to check if the

weighing m/c is empty

Ex) 000: Near zero relay is operated when

the weight value displayed is "0"

F62 OOOOO
010: Near zero relay is operated when the

weight value displayed is under "10"

150: Near zero relay is operated when the

weight value displayed is under "150"

Setting of zero display range

Function to set the display range of zero

F63 OOOOO Ex) If the range value is set to 50, the values
under 50 are displayed as "0".

35
Setting of the highest analog output value

The highest value of the analog output for 0 ~

10 V and 4 ~ 20 mA is set.

Ex) If set to 1,000, 10 V or 20 mA is displayed

F64 OOOOO when the weight value reaches 1,000.

* If F64 is set as default value (0000), the

analog output shows the maximum value in

Capa.

4-4. Weighing mode

In the weighing mode, the actually measured weight value is displayed or

upper/lower limits are set and displayed. If you turn on the power without
pressing any key, the weighing mode starts immediately.

Description of weighing mode keys (For the setting of F15-0)

KEY Description

It is used to set the weight display value to '0' within a

certain range of the maximum weight display value set by
the user.
However, this function operates within the range set by the
user in F11 "Setting of zero key operation range".

It is used to set the tare weight to "0" after placing a

container on the weighing m/c.However, this function
operates within the range set by the user in F12 "Setting of
tare key operation range".

It is used to set upper/higher values

: Increase the setting value of the selected digit

: Reduce the setting value of the selected digit

: Move the digit to be changed

: Cancel the changed value

: Save the current value

Hold

Remove hold

* When setting upper/lower limits, the size of the values should be 'lower
limit value < upper limit value < Capa'.

5. Interface (Option)

5-1. RS-232C Interface

The RS-232C interface is sensitive to electrical noise. Therefore, it should be

attached away from AC power cable or electrical wirings, and all cables
should be shielded.

* Communication mode: You can set with F-function (F40 - F46).

1) RS-232C pin array and connection

2) Signal Format

(1) Type : RS-232C

(2) Method : Full-duplex and asynchronous method
(3) Baud Rate : 2,400 bps ~ 115,200 bps
(4) Data Bit : 7 or 8(None Parity)
(5) Stop Bit : 1
(6) parity Bit : Even, Odd, or None Parity
(7) Code : ASCII

38
3) Data Format (Set in F-45)

Data Format 1 :

▶ Header 1 (Common for Data Format 1 and 2)

US : Unstable indicator

ST : Stable indicator

OL : Over Load, Under Load

▶ Header 2 (Common on Data Format 1 and 2)

GS : Gross Weight

NT : Net Weight

▶ Data (Common on Data Format 1 and 2)

2B(H) : “+” Plus

40
5-2. RS-422 pin array and connection

RS-422 method transmits signals by using potential difference and is more

resistant to electrical noise than other communication methods. Therefore,
it should be attached away from AC power cable or electrical wirings, and
only shield coax cables should be used. The maximum available distance
is 1.2 km, and private lines should be used.

1) RS-422 pin array and connection

2) Signal Format

(1) Type : RS-422

(2) Baud Rate : Between 2,400 bps ~ 115,200 bps
(3) Data Bit : 7 or 8 (None Parity)
(4) Stop : 1
(5) Parity Bit : Even, Odd, or None Parity

3) Data Format : Same as RS-232C

41
5-3. communication Command

1) Communication command format when using BCC (Check Sum)

▶ Command format for PC

STX(1BYTE), ID.NO(2BTYE), COMMAND(4BYTE), BCC(2BYTE),
ETX(1BYTE) : Total 10 BYTE

STX ID.NO WZER(COMMAND) A9(BCC) ETX

02H 30H 31H 57H 5AH 45H 52H 41H 39H 03H

BCC (Check Sum)

The checksum adds all the values from the next value of "STX" to the previous
value of "BCC" and only sends two values of units digit and tens digit. In the
command transmission as shown in the above table, the value of 1A9 is
obtained because { 30 + 31 + 57 + 5A + 45 + 52 = 1A9 }. In this value, hundreds
digit is ignored, "A" and "9" are, separately, converted to ASCII code values of
41H and 39H and transmitted.

▶ Indicator data transmission format

02H 30H 31H 57H 5AH 45H 52H 06H 41H 46H 03H

ACK : 06H -> Recetion completed (Normal operation)

NAK : 15H -> Poor receiption (Retranmission)
BCC : 30 + 31 + 57 + 5A + 45 + 52 + 06 = 1AF =>41H, 46H transmitted
