ACTIVITY PROPOSAL

V. Rationale:

In a group or an organization, it is noteworthy that all members are individuals


who have varying views on different aspects of things. With this, a gap is created
towards attaining unity in terms of decision making and implementation of proposals.
Oftentimes, due to the diversity of each other’s stands and beliefs, misunderstanding
and conflict happens which results to poor execution of tasks and decision making.

As an academic year starts, new sets of officers are to be elected in the student
organization. Therefore, students may have the tendency to feel inferior to new faces
and towards each other, and therefore cannot be able to fully express their suggestions
or ideas in times of meetings and or proposals. Moreover, most of the members may not
have the motivation yet to cooperate with one another as trust is yet to be earned on his
or her fellow colleagues.

To solve this, a team building is therefore done in order to instill cohesiveness,


teamwork and solidarity amongst all members of the organization. Moreover, doing this
kind of activity will ensure that affiliates will have the motivation and the desire to
cooperate among one another in ensuring success on endeavors and future plans for
the association. This way, positivity and conflict mitigation is to be attained within the
organization to be able to serve their members in the best way possible.

The said activity will be facilitated and participated by all officers of the
Association of Civil Engineering Students, along with their student organization adviser.

VI. Objectives:

1. To instill solidarity, cooperation and teamwork among the ACES organization


officers.
2. To motivate the officers to work together, develop their strengths and
address their weaknesses.
3. To build trust, mitigate conflict, encourage communication, and increase
collaboration among the members of organization.
4. To discuss future plans and implementation of future organization projects
.

VIII. Expected Outputs:

At the end of the activity, the CCE-ACES officers along with CCE Mayors
and Vice Mayors shall be able to attain the following:

1. Commitment of the CCE officers towards work and future plans.


2. Trust, conflict mitigation, communication, and increased collaboration
among the members of organization along with the leaders of each class
in the College of Civil Engineering.
3. Solidarity, cooperation and teamwork among the ACES organization
officers.
4. Cohesiveness in the group in decision making; confidence in voicing out
suggestions, plans and opinions in future organization plans and
endeavors.
5. Increased participation and involvement in future organizational activities.
