The Philippines has a rich history filled with heroic acts and visionary,
thinking the only thing that is lacking, is the ability to look back at them and
learn how to do them better. The Philippines is certainly looking to achieve
many things in the 21st century that will require the analysis of past efforts
and the careful peeling away of the things that did not work.

Based on the colonial American tradition of education, early Philippine

textbookswere on nationalism, United States- centric and with the Filipinos
forever appearing as the passive receivers of the blessings that foreigners
brought.(Niels Mulder 1994)

The metamorphosis of the Philippine education through the years was

gradual process brought about by generations of colonialism and
imperialism. (Durban,Catalan 2012)Knowing the impressions left by past
generations tells us that valuable lessons can be learned from history. The
transition of the Filipino society from the phases of technological
development up to its preparation towards globalization definitely reflects
the character of the local inhabitants as well as the culture that has been
developed after a long period of time.

As the student has a hard-time in coping up lessons in Philippine History,

the researchers made a booklet to aid their questions with regards to some
lessons.
