What’s new?
● Fill in the table with Performance Practices of the Eras according to the
category. (Secular or Sacred).
What’s in?
● The learner will be introduced to the prominent composers and their short
biography of the Medieval, Renaissance and Baroque Period.
● The teacher will give an example of the works/compositions of each
composers and their styles
● The students will answer the Learning task 1 on Page 12, give the name of
each composer from Medieval, Renaissance and Baroque period.
● Have learners listen to O Magnum Mysterium by Giovanni Pierluigi Da

● The teacher will discuss the performance practices (setting, composition,
role of composers, performers, and audience) during Medieval,
Renaissance and Baroque Period
