Period, found on the next page. Identify from what period/era they belong.

● Fill in the table with Performance Practices of the Eras according to the
category. (Secular or Sacred).

B. Development What I know?


● The learner will answer the 5 item multiple choice.
● After answering the questions, the learner may check and compare the
answer using answer key.

What’s in?
● The learner will be introduced to the prominent composers and their short
biography of the Medieval, Renaissance and Baroque Period.
● The teacher will give an example of the works/compositions of each
composers and their styles
● The students will answer the Learning task 1 on Page 12, give the name of
each composer from Medieval, Renaissance and Baroque period.

What is it?
● Let the learner analyse the performance practices by replaying the music
that they’ve heard earlier

● The learners will classify the performance practices of the Eras according
to the category (Sacred or Secular)

● In this part, the learners will make a list of 3 songs that are commonly
sung during religious event/church service or worship.

● The learners will choose one or two music from Medieval, Renaissance,
and Baroque music and they will draw/sketch while listening it.

D. Assimilation What I have learned?


● In this part, the learner will complete a concept map of performance
settings by writing the things they learned about musicians/composers,
setting, audience performers and themes of Medieval, Renaissance and
Baroque Period.

What I can do?


● As performance output, the learners may create a VIDEO presentation of
their choice of religious music.
● Rubrics will be provided by the teacher to guide the learners in making
their output.
● The video output will be present through video recording which will not
exceed by 5 minutes and submitted to the teacher through Facebook
messenger. (for modular distance learning)
