Previously known as SOYENA, Somali Consulting and Engineering Services

Company (SOMCES) is an engineering, consulting, contracting and construction
company which specialises in civil engineering, structural engineering,
architectural engineering, water services projects, transportation engineering
and construction management. The company was founded in 2011 with a vision
of being the premier partner of choice in construction and projects management
by providing the most cost effective, efficient and reliable services in Somalia.
Our mission is to achieve Quality at the most cost-effective price; and this is the
supreme core value of SOMCES. It shall be manifested in the excellent result of

undertake works in the role of main contractor, sub-contractor, design and build

a. Contracting - Specialized in execution of Construction and general Civil

Engineering projects
b. Preconstruction services - SOMCES Company works with the employers and
the design team in the earlier phase of drawings, to provide and add
engineering value and suggestions for site, feasibility/constructability, budget
and scheduling. Within our Preconstruction services, we act as a value-added
member of the design team, enhancing the design segment of the job by
providing accurate pricing information and marrying the budget to the actual
 design. By incorporating items such as sustainability and maintenance costs
into our design review, our suggestions can often save the owner's money as
well in the future. SOMCES works to reduce the overall project cost by saving
time, labor and expenses. The result is a building designed to the owner's
specifications, within budget and with no surprises.
c. Our company has carried out many construction works since its
establishment, the constructions include both private owned properties and
public construction. Due to our commitment to quality and on-time
completion of projects our company has observed that most of our
customers come back for our services. Our construction services include, but
not limited, to commercial plazas, shopping malls, residential flats,
development of housing societies, overhead and underground water tanks,
schools and hospitals.
d. Consultancy - preparing necessary documents and studies for
governmental, private sectors and non-governmental organizations
projects and tenders where it requires technical data and budgetary
prices as well as information about suitable specifications that meets the
rules and standards.
e. Water drilling - SOMCES Co. has been responsible for countless water
projects including drilling of boreholes, sinking of swallow wells, solar
power for boreholes, our success in this area is rooted in several different
factors, the factors include committed and professional team and our
extensive experience in the operational areas has being our greatest
strengths. SOMCES Co. has invested much in water resources and it has
been always been our main concern. SOMCES Co. has also invested
heavily on equipment needed to fulfil this project, over the period of

f. Road and transport section - This department is staffed with experienced
engineers offering consultancy services in Transport planning, Route
location/planning, Rehabilitation and maintenance studies and design,
Geometric and pavement design, and other road furniture-markings and
signage
g. Engineering designs - Engineering analysis and design of new and
rehabilitation works, Architectural Plans/Drawings, Structural detailed
drawings, Mechanical and Electrical drawings, preparing specifications for
the concerned projects, Quantity Surveying and Cost estimation works,
Scheduling for the project implementation time frames, and 3D
visualizations
