b) execute the basic steps used in creating a folk-based festival dance
c) appreciate the different steps in festival dance

1. Touch step- is the basic steps use in any dances,

2. Bleking step- Step R in place (1), Heel place in
front (Heel, place, close)
3. Close step-Step R across L (1), step L sideward
(Step, close)

4. Hop step- Step R sideward (1), Hop R in place

5. Cross step- : a step in which one foot is crossed
over another; the action of taking such a step or
steps (Step, cross or Cross, step)
6. Step swing – (Step, swing) “Shuffle steps sir”
7. Step swing hop – (Step-swing, hop)
8. Mincing step- With heels raise, take as many
steps as desired
9. Shuffling step- With both feet flat on the floor,
take tiny slide steps
10. Chasing step- With one foot leading, take “Touch step sir”
successive close steps to any direction
