White Planter (PDCA)
The VT option to “Broadcast GPS Speed” needs to be enabled from the Ag Leader INTEGRA VT setup.
The PDCA will then use this speed to control the rate or monitor seed tubes correctly. The PDCA has to
be set to “CAN Ground” in order for this to work. See the figure below.
When the system is configured as stated above, the PDCA will activate alarms at a few times when the
message changes slightly. If the user is on the run screen and enters setup, a ground speed alarm will be
activated. This is a self clearing alarm and will go away after a few seconds. This appears to be an issue
with the PDCA. A very similar issue occurs when a user accepts the Field Operations Wizard to change
operations. The ground speed alarm from the PDCA is activated.

Case IH 2380 Air Cart
Initialization Issue
Version 1.05 of the air cart ECU FW doesn’t initialize correctly which results in Integra VT not knowing
what VT version the ECU is. This doesn’t cause a problem on the initial boot up because we do not have
an object pool version saved in memory. The problem happens when power is cycled to the Ag Leader
INTEGRA VT. When we boot back up and initialize, we attempt to validate and load the object pool
saved in memory, but error because we have no idea what version the ECU is (because of incorrect ECU
initialization). Ag Leader VT knows the pool is a version 2, but doesn’t know what version the ECU is so
the pool isn’t loaded.
Therefore, when power is cycled on the Ag Leader VT, the air cart object pool has to be re transferred
from the ECU. If power isn’t cycled on the Ag Leader VT, but it is on the ECU (for example if you would
plug it in, then unplug it, and then reconnect) the object pool will be loaded from memory.
The air cart object pool is fairly small and only takes 20-30 seconds to transfer so even though this
behavior is not ideal, it is still considered acceptable.

Version 4.0 of the ECU firmware doesn’t initialize correctly when connected to the Ag Leader INTEGRA
using the standard ISOBUS in a John Deere 8130 tractor. Users will notice that the module claims an
address and shows up in the list, but never transfers or loads an object pool so nothing will appear on
the VT screen.
It was determined the presences of the tractor ECU was causing the problem. A quick power cycle of
the tractor would sometimes enable the ECU to communicate, but the problem would be present again
the next time tractor power was turned off/on.
It has not been determined if the issue is present in newer PDCGY firmware or when connected to
different brands of tractors. The best solution currently available is to use the ISOBUS BYPASS CABLES
listed on the ISOBUS tab of the ISOBUS SYSTEM REFERENCE to separate the Ag Leader VT from the
Tractor ISOBUS ISO at the IBBC.

JD Blockage ECU
Ground Speed Issues
The JD blockage module requires ground speed to work correctly. If a TECU isn’t present to send out
this message, the “Broadcast GPS Speed” option needs to be enabled on the Ag Leader INTEGRA VT.
In older version of the Blockage module firmware (version 1.00), settings need to be adjusted so the
module looks for the ground speed message from the Integra. If these settings aren’t changed, alarm
messages will go off constantly. The
screen shot below shows the settings
screen. The white box with the green
tractor is a drop down list. Select the box
and then select the picture shown here
(green tractor with what appears to be a
radar behind it). This will set the module
to look for the proper message from the
Integra VT.
In conclusion:
-When connected to an ISO ready John Deere tractor, disable the ground speed message in the Ag
Leader VT because the module is going to use the TECU message.
-When connected to anything else, or when the blockage module isn’t receiving ground speed from
another source, enable the “Broadcast GPS Speed” option in Ag Leader VT Virtual Terminal settings and
change to the proper speed setting within the “System Readings” screen of the blockage module.
This diagnostics screen has two “tabs” at the top. These tabs are actually buttons; however, the text is
missing from them. This is an issue with the programming of the JD ECU and has to do with object
errors caused when they were scaled to fit our larger screen.
Page 6 of 16 08/01/2014
See the screen shot below. There are two blank tabs. The left tab should be titled, “Readings” and the
second tab, “Tests”.
The content initially displayed when this diagnostics screen is entered is related to the “Readings”
button. More clearly, the “Readings” tab is selected by default when the diagnostics is entered. If the
“Tests” tab is pressed and then the “Readings” tab, it will bring the user back to the screen shown
above.
If the user presses the “Tests” tab (button) the following screen will be displayed
If power is cycled to the Ag Leader VT, when it boots back up the VT and all ISO modules have to re
initialize. Sometimes the JD blockage module doesn’t perform this step correctly and doesn’t initialize.
The interface will never be activated on the VT screen. When this happens, the user just needs to cycle
power to the ECU; when it boots up it will then initialize correctly.

JD SeedStar XP
Missing Button Graphics
The SeedStar XP main run screen has 8 buttons in the bottom left hand corner that toggle what
information is displayed on the top half of the run screen. For example, Figure 1 below shows the
population monitoring screen, with the red bar graphs relating to population.
Figure 2
Figure 1
Notice that the top left of these 8 buttons is missing a graphic. This is because of a scaling issue on the
JD side due to our larger screen. When they scale the objects to match our screen size, this object lost
its X/Y coordinates. The graphic that should be on this icon is presented in the cutout shown in Figure 2.
Pressing this button takes you to the population screen as shown in Figure 1.
The middle portion of the main run screen has two selectable item lists that allow the user to select
what information will be seen. See Figure 1, the area in question are surrounded by blue squares.
Currently, the left side is monitoring vacuum pressure and the right side ground speed. By pressing on
these areas a list is activated as shown in Figure 3 and the user can select which attribute they want
displayed.

Button with Missing Text
There is a button within the “Show Rates” dialog that the text is missing from. See the screen shot
below. The button is in the bottom left corner. The text should be “Change Rates” but the JD ECU
scales it incorrectly for our larger screen so it doesn’t appear.
When this button is pressed, the data mask (dialog screen) will be changed to what is shown below.
This dialog is used to enter the target population for the 6 discrete rates the user is able to enter. This
screen is extremely important, yet it is hard to find because the button to get to this screen is missing
text.

There are multiple buttons in the interface that are missing text. These locations are as follows and
images with the text corrected are shown below. Customers will not see the text, but it has been placed

Mueller Sprayer Job Computer
Inaccurate Accumulation of Total Product Applied Summary Data
In certain sprayer configurations, the Mueller ECU will continue to send the Ag Leader display Task
Controller a non-zero flow rate even when the master switch (work state) is off. The result is an
inaccurate accumulation of total product applied in the summary data within the Ag Leader display.
Logged data is not affected.
Issue stems from different interpretations of the ISOBUS standard between manufacturers. Ag Leader
has implemented a change beginning with the upcoming version 4.5 firmware release to address this
issue and not log data with a non-zero flow when sections are off.

The Reichhardt Working Set (interface) doesn’t scale to fit the Ag Leader INTEGRA VT mask (screen).
This isn’t really an issue, just programming incompatibility. The Reichhardt system was programmed to
fit a 480x480 pixel screen where the Ag leader INTEGRA VT is 600x600. Therefore, the interface doesn’t
scale up to fill the entire screen.

ECU Transfers Pool on Every Power Cycle
The Reichhardt ECU doesn’t initialize exactly to standard. This causes the Ag Leader INTEGRA VT to
reject the saved object pool. Thus, the ECU has to retransfer the pool every time that Ag Leader VT
power is cycled. This takes approximately 60 seconds.
This was witnessed in version 602-072, it isn’t known if this issue is present in newer versions.
