This document provides definitions and formulas for calculating: 1) Basal metabolic rate, ideal body weight, desirable body weight, and nutritional status. It outlines formulas for calculating these values for infants, children, adolescents, and adults. 2) Total energy requirement and total calorie requirement per day using formulas tailored to infants, children, adolescents, and adults. Factors like degree of malnutrition are also accounted for. 3) Examples are given for calculating ideal body weight, total energy requirement, body mass index, and macronutrient breakdown based on a given total calorie intake.
