HALF-YEARLY EXAMINATION 2022-2023


Code of Conduct

Scope: This code of conduct is prepared and circulated to ensure better conduct and
more validity and reliability of the examinations. This is to be strictly complied by all
the candidates who write the Half Yearly Examinations (HYE) 2022-23. Students are
expected to adhere to the Student Code of Conduct to ensure smooth conduct of
the HYE.
1. Students should check the date sheet shared in the month of July 2022 and
prepare for the exams.
2. Students must come in normal school uniform and carry school IDs. Students not
in proper uniform and without school IDs will not be permitted into the exam
hall.
3. Students are required to always comply with the instructions of invigilators.
4. Students must ensure they have the appropriate stationery for each
examination. Stationery must be in a transparent pouch. Students are not
permitted to share a pen, pencil, or any other materials during the examination
5. Students are not allowed to carry any electronic items such as cell phones,
calculators, smart watches, etc. Water bottles (transparent) are allowed inside
the exam hall.
6. Any sort of printed or written material is not allowed inside the examination hall.
Students found in possession of any printed material would be considered as
using unfair means and appropriate action would be taken.

7. Students must write their full Exam Registration number on their question
papers. All rough work must be completed in the answer book and are not
allowed to make any markings with pen/pencil on the question paper except the
Exam Registration number. The exchange of question papers shall be treated as
indulging in unfair means.
8. Students are advised to read all instructions given on the question paper
thoroughly before commencing the exam.
9. 20-minute time has been allotted to read the question paper. Students will read
the question paper and should not write any answers on the answer booklet
during this time.
10. Students should write the exam with a blue ballpoint pen.
11. Question number or a part thereof should be clearly mentioned in the left margin
before answering the same.
12. At the end of the examination students must ensure that all loose sheets are
securely fixed to the answer book using the tags provided.
Drawings/maps/Graphs may be folded as neatly as possible to secure them
within the answer book.
13. Students are discouraged from using the washroom during examination time. If
they are suffering from urinary infection or any such issues, their parents must
notify the exam cell ([email protected]) prior to the
examination.
14. Students are not allowed to leave the examination hall without returning the
answer books to the invigilators.
15. Please note the following timings for the smooth conduct of the examinations:
Grades 6 to 12 on all days except Fridays: -
• Reporting time to school at 7.40 a.m
• Exam will start at 8.30 a.m.
• 8.40 a.m. to 9.00 a.m. Reading time
• 9.00 a.m. to 12.p.m Exam
• 12.20 p.m. Dispersal

• Exam will start at 8.00 a.m.
• 8.15 a.m. to 8.30 a.m. Reading time
• 8.30 a.m. to 11.30 a.m. Exam
• 11.50 a.m. Dispersal

Grade 5 on all days except Fridays


• Reporting time to school at 7.40 a.m
• Exam will start at 9.30 a.m.
• 9.40 a.m. to 10.00 a.m. Reading time
• 10.00 a.m. to 12.p.m Exam
• 12.20 p.m. Dispersal

Grade 5 (Fridays)
• Reporting time to school at 7.40 a.m
• Exam will start at 9.00 a.m.
• 9.15 a.m. to 9.30 a.m. Reading time
• 9.30 a.m. to 11.30 a.m. Exam
• 11.50 a.m. Dispersal
16. All students must remain in their seats until their answer scripts have been
collected and they are formally dismissed by the Invigilator. Leave the exam hall
quickly and quietly. Remember to take all your belongings with you. You must
remain silent until you exit the exam hall.
