PROS AND CONS OF INTERNET MARKETING

The world of marketing has changed because of the advancement in technology.

While gadgets and other electronic devices make advancement throughout the years, marketing
strategies have also changed. This is when e-commerce and internet marketing started. On the
other hand, there will always be pros and cons of it especially in our country wherein internet
connection is not so fast unlike other countries.

Let me talk about the advantage first. Based on the video, the advantage that is
most likely applicable to us here in the Philippines is that internet marketing has a minimum
financial investment. It is true that we can sell products or market services online with minimal
money to invest. We can post it through our social media platforms like Facebook, Instagram,
Twitter or even on Tiktok and Youtube. There are a lot to choose if we want to market online
especially that many Filipinos are fond of using social media. This would mean that we have a
wide market. Even if internet here in the country is not very fast, still there is a great opportunity
to earn for as long as you are consistent in posting your products. During the pandemic, many
of the Filipino traditional business owners have used online marketing to earn income.

On the other hand, considering the internet connection in our country, we will be
disadvantaged with the competition in the market. According to Ms. Marley Jaxx in the video, in
internet marketing, competition is more apparent. So, if we have slow internet connection, our
competitors from other countries or those that have faster internet would most likely be the one
to target the clients or customers. It will be a disadvantage to us. We will lose the chance to get
or reach our target customers.
