Sieve Analysis Graph

This document summarizes the results of a particle size analysis test on a soil sample: 1) Sieve analysis was performed on the sample using sieves with mesh sizes ranging from 4.75mm to 0.075mm. The percent of sample retained and passing each sieve is reported. 2) Hydrometer analysis was also conducted on the portion of the sample passing the #200 sieve (0.075mm). Hydrometer readings were taken over time and corrected to determine percent finer values. 3) The sieve and hydrometer data were used to construct a particle size distribution curve showing the relationship between particle size and percent finer for the soil sample.
