In recent times women have been subjected to remarks, gestures, and

images of a sexist or humiliating sexual nature, in addition to threats,


and mobbing.
This type of violence is mostly experienced on social media, and nearly
(44 percent of working women are reported to have received death,
rape, assault, or abduction threats towards them or their families.
Sixty-five percent had been subjected to sexist remarks, primarily by
male colleagues at different workplaces.
On the other side, a woman on an Rs.1 costing mouth freshener cannot
talk about women empowerment as she herself degrades her value.
Let's pledge to break the gender stereotypes, and break the chain of
discrimination against women. This is high time to loosen the shackles
of bias and welcome women to a world that is diverse, equitable, and
inclusive. The twenty-first century shall advocate a world where
differences are valued and celebrated. Together we can work out
women's equality.
