IAGES President’s Message

Dear Friends,

It gives me immense pleasure to welcome you all to the

FALS Oncology fellowship course held between May 27
- May 29, 2022, in Mumbai.

FALS fellowship course is a wonderfully balanced

coursecovering the technical nuances of advanced
topics. Itgives an overview of the potential application
of MAS in oncology surgery by renowned surgeons.

IAGES is a vibrant body with more than 8400 surgeons

as members. More than 3000 members have been
trained under the aegis of IAGES.

Dr. Anil Heroor & team have been working hard to make
this course a tremendous success. They have left no
stone unturned to make it very comfortable for all the
delegates.

Mumbai being the financial capital of India with lots of

tourist destinations around is known for its historic
significance. The weather during May is very pleasant.

Looking forward to meeting you all in person.

Regards,

Dr. L. P. Thangavelu
President IAGES
Chairman Ashwin Hospital,
Coimbatore
Welcome Address

Dear Delegates,

Oncology today forms a major part of the practice for a

surgeon. Oncosurgery as a speciality has developed but
there is a shortage of skilled manpower, especially in tier
2 & tier 3 cities. Even for oncosurgeons, the field of
minimal access surgery in cancer is a skill that cannot be
missed! Keeping this in mind IAGES brings together the
FALS (Fellowship in Advanced Laparoscopic Surgery)
Oncology course! It has 38 modules in various
subspecialties of MAS oncology over 2days & a surgical
workshop on the third! We have tried to get together
the best faculty in the field to share their knowledge,
experience& skills in this first physical offline course in
FALS Oncology.

The city of Mumbai needless to say is well connected

has enough hotels of various categories to make your
stay comfortable.

We hope this will upgrade the skills of surgeons who

wish to deliver the best to their patients!

Regards,

Dr. Anil Heroor
