REVIT ASSIGNMENT 1

AN AUTOCAD FILE FOR A MODERN VILLA IS PROVIDED TO YOU

Tasks to be completed-

1. 3D Modeling of the Modern House


a. Create three levels at Ground Level (+0.00), First Floor Level (+3190.00) and Roof Level (+6600.00)
b. Create the Grids as shown in the AutoCAD Plans
c. Create Walls, Doors, Windows, Floors, Roofs, Stairs, Columns etc. as per the AutoCAD Plan.
(Structural Foundations not required)
d. Create Revit Rooms for each room and assign the ‘Name’ and ‘Number’ Parameters as per the
names and numbers in the AutoCAD Plan.
e. Given logical names and numbers to Rooms

2. Set up the VIEWS - Plans, Elevation Views and Section Views in the Revit Project Browser. Give them Proper
Names

3. Set up the Sheets for Plans, Elevations, Sections. Show the basic annotation as shown in the AutoCAD
Drawings, for example- dimensions, room tags, grids, etc. Sheet Size to be A2 (Use the A2 Size Title Block
provided in the Revit Template). Drawings Scale as required.

4. Schedules- Set up Schedules for Walls, Doors and Windows in the Project Browser for Quantities-
a. Areas and Lengths for Walls (type name,base level,type mark, thickness, areas, lengths)
b. Counts for Door(type name,base level,type mark,to room, from room, count, height, width, rough
height, rough width)
c. Counts for Windows (type name,base level,type mark,height, width,)
5. You can use the families in the template, download them or create your own (as needed).
6. Provide the Hatches (hatches can be different from the CAD)
7. Keep the dimensions upto 3 decimal points - eg. 5.320, 4.525, 7.000
8. Create the parametric family of door (swing door symbolic lines should be visible in floor plan view)
9. Staircase modeling is mandatory
10. Use the view template for Floor Plan views
11. Use different worksets for Structure and Architecture Elements
12. DO NOT use MODEL IN-PLACE

We will judge the submissions based on the Revit file provided:


1. Level of Development of 3D Model
2. Level of Detail of the Documentation/Sheet Set up
3. Schedules for Walls, Doors and Windows
4. Rooms, Room Name and Numbering
5. Cleanliness of the sheets
6. Perfect Dimensions
7. Names given to type names, type marks, numbers and parameters
