B. MOTIVATION

Today we are playing a game.

Are you familiar with the game a


game pass the massage.

For the direction of the game.

Form a 4 groups consisting of 10


members. Form a line inside the
classroom. The first student will read
the message after reading it they will
pass it to the next person until the ( the students did the directions)
message will reach the last person.
The group who will pass the message
correctly until the last person will win.

Let us start.

1.Coffee maker is a cooking


appliance used to brew coffee.

2. A meat slicer is used to provide


portion-controlled slicing.

3. Crockery is used to serve food and


drink, especially made of China.

4. Pots are used for simmering or


boiling liquids.

Our topic for today is about kitchen


equipment.

Auxiliary Equipment are those


equipment used in large production of
food.

First, coffee maker.

What is coffee maker?

A cooking appliance used to brew


coffee.

Coffee maker is used to produced


large batches of coffee. It is
mandatory to coffee shops.

Next is deep fat fryer.

What is deep fat fryer?

Is a kitchen appliance used for deep


frying. Deep frying is a method of
cooking by submerging food into oil at
high heat.

This equipment save oil, time and


more crispy than frying in an ordinary
pan. It has a basket where we put our
food to fry it in deep hot oil.
Yes Ma’am.

Next is wok.
A wok is a deep, bowl-shaped frying
pan with sloping sides that distribute
heat evenly.

Compare to ordinary pan, this wok


has even heat to all of its sides. That
is why even chefs made tricks while
coking it is still being cooked. If you
will observe while you are frying,
there re some sides of you pan that is
burned and the other is not. It means
that the heat is not evenly distributed.

Next is crockery.

Used to serve food and drink,


especially made of China.

Crockery is a broad term for our


dinnerware. It is the things we used
while eating. Example of it are cups,
plates and bowls.

What is mixers or bowls?


Help automate the repetitive tasks of
stirring, whisking or beating.

We used mixers on large quantities of


ingredients in long period of time at a
consistent pace.

What is Pots? Pots are used for simmering or boiling


liquids that completely cover
ingredients to cook from all sides.

Are you familiar with pots?

We used this especially when we


cook soup bases foods.

What is Pans? Pans are used for cooking methods


that apply high heat to produce
browning, like sauteing or frying.

Are you familiar with pans? Yes Ma’am.

We used this when we are sauteing


or frying our foods.

Next is cutting equipment.

These are the equipment we used in


cutting large batches or quantities of
food.
Is used to provide portion-controlled
What is meat slicer? slicing. By allowing users to set slice
thicknesses, these machines can
yield uniform portions.

Who loves samgyup and shabu ( students raise their hands)

Have you ever wonder how the meat ( the students think)
slice into thin pieces?

So they use meat slicer for them to


achieve their desired thickness
especially on frozen meats.

Next is meat grinder.

What is meat grinder?

Is a machine which cuts meat into


very small pieces by forcing it through
very small holes.

In meat grinder it makes our food into


smaller pieces. It mincing our food.

Next is food chopper. It is used to chop or slice a single


item by pushing or pulling a handle to
pass the food through sharp blades.

Unlike to a blender that makes our


foods into juices or liquid, this food
chopper will not make your foods into
liquid. It will just chop your foods into
very small pieces easily and quickly.
