Preparing your items for Travel

Labels must be attached securely:

DO NOT attach labels to a bag by tying them to a handle or by only framing a label with
tape. Your bag will rub against other items and labels attached in these ways may become
detached. We recommend using Send My Bag label holders. If you do not have label
holders, please visit our FAQs for advice on securely attaching labels without label
holders. Failure to attach labels in line with our guidance may lead to delays and will void
your loss cover.

If sending a cardboard box you may attach tracking labels with sticky tape.
Important! Ensure your box is not over packed and can hold the weight. Boxes should be secured
by running tape in a loop around the box from back to front and from side to side, as well as
across the folded flaps at the top and bottom. We also suggest running tape along the seams of
boxes. Only taping across the folded flaps is not sufficient! Items should be secured inside the box
so they cannot move about.
Tracking Labels for item 1:
- Securely attach the first tracking label to the outside of item 1.
- Place the first internal label inside item 1.

Tracking Labels for items 2 - 3:

- Securely attach the external labels to your other items.
- Place the internal labels inside your other items.

For the driver:

- Keep the driver's label (archive doc) and hand it to the driver upon collection. Do NOT
attach it to your items. If the driver on your route does not require this copy please retain
for your own reference.

Your bag should be secured with a cable tie or string. Shipments being loaded to aircraft
are subject to random search. Locked bags may have locks broken or be rejected and
returned to you.

Security:
Do not risk sending prohibited items, ALL shipments are x-rayed and are subject to
security searches. If you include prohibited items your shipment will not be loaded to an
aircraft and will be returned to you. No refund will be provided for shipments returned
under these circumstances and a £25 security processing fee will be due before your
shipment can be recollected. In some cases your shipment could also be seized and action
taken against you by the FAA or other authorities.
