 Write the lyrics of the chant on the board

 Show the students the acrobat phonics card.
Point to it and say: /b/ - Ba. Ask them to
repeat.
 Point to the pictures, the students do the
corresponding actions and say the words.
 Have students colour the pictures of the
words that start with the a sound.

Activity: Hunt The Cards Game (10 mins)


 Divide the class into two teams 1 and 2. - Ss repeat
 Hide the phonics cards around the classroom. - Ss do the same
 Write the following for each team:
1: Ba, book
2: Bill,ball - Ss do the corresponding actions
 The students in each team have to ‘hunt’ for and say the words
the phonics cards of their team. - Ss colour the pictures
 Play the song (Track 06) from lesson 2
The first team to find all its words before the
end of the song is the winner.

 Put the BA, Bill, ball,book phonics cards up
on the board.
 Point to the ant and say: “Hi,I’m Ba”. The
students repeat. - Ss play the game.
 Follow the same procedure and present the
rest of the song.

corresponding actions
