1: Review of the Nature, Goals, and Processes of Science

Review our SCI 1 lesson on the nature, goals and processes of Science and discuss the
following based on your understanding by writing an essay entitled, “What is Science?”.
Your essay must contain 500 words.

WHAT IS SCIENCE?

Science may be a way of working out how things work. It is significant because science
is required for things to function and for the development of new technology that is
used in everyday life. It's essential to me because I want to be a veterinarian when I
grow up, and I'd need to excel in science to accomplish so. Even if science isn't my
strongest subject, I'm willing to put in the effort and perseverance necessary to improve
and learn what I need to know. Any system of information concerned with the physical
world and its phenomena that involves unbiased observations and methodical
experimentation is cited as science. A science, in general, is that the pursuit of data
that encompasses broad facts or the operations of fundamental laws. Science is both a
group of knowledge and a way of investigation. Science may appear to be a set of
isolated and unchanging facts stated in a very textbook when you're in class, but that's
only a part of the story. Science is additionally a discovery process that permits us to
attach disparate data to create coherent and comprehensive understandings of the
flora and fauna. Science could be a fascinating subject. Science could be a method
of discovering what exists within the universe and the way it functions today, within the
past, and within the future. Scientists are inspired by the thrill of discovering or
discovering something that nobody else has. Science generates knowledge that's both
powerful and trustworthy. it should be accustomed create new technology, treat
diseases, and solve a spread of other issues. Science is often improving and increasing
our understanding of the cosmos, and when it does, it raises new issues that require to
be investigated further. there'll never be a "final" state of science.

Science has a wide range of effects on the world. We can now predict how warm or
cold it will be for the following week, as well as when a tornado, hurricane, eruption, or
other natural calamity will strike, thanks to the technologies that have been discovered.
This is beneficial to all communities. My family enjoys traveling, and we wouldn't be able
to visit many locations if airplanes hadn't been built. We also require microwaves,
stoves, and ovens to prepare our meals, as well as refrigerators and freezers to store our
food. We also like to watch TV and movies, and I enjoy talking on the phone and
listening to music. None of this would be possible without science.

Since practically everything has anything to do with or incorporates science, everyone


benefits from it. Technology will become considerably more advanced in the future.
Phones, televisions, personal stereos, computers, and other electronic devices will
continue to get smaller while getting more useful. In the future, science will undoubtedly
make things a lot easier. Science may assist us in better understanding ourselves and
our surroundings, in addition to recognizing how they work and where we fit within
them. there'll always be unanswered questions. What happens once we pass away?
What makes us dream within the first place? What does it mean to be conscious? The
seek for answers, humanity's intrinsic curiosity and desire to know "why," is what propels
scientific progress forward. It's possible that science will uncover the answers sooner or
later, but if it doesn't, it won't be for an absence of trying.
