(Thursday), Panchami on 30.09.2022 (Friday), Sasthi on 01.10.2022 (Saturday), Saptami on
02.10.2022 (Sunday), Astami on 03.10.2022 (Monday) and Navami on 04.10.2022 (Tuesday)
(PART-B of this order)
&
for Durga Puja & Laxmi Puja Immersion Days falling on 05.10.2022 (Wednesday) (Dashami &
1st Day of Immersion), on 06.10.2022 (Thursday) (2nd Day of Immersion), on 07.10.2022 (Friday)
(3rd Day of Immersion), on 08.10.2022 (Saturday) (Immersion Carnival and and final Day of
Immersion) and again during the Lakshmi Puja Immersion falling on 10.10.2022 (Monday) and
11.10.2022 (Tuesday) (PART-C of this order) I, Vineet Kumar Goyal, Commissioner of Police,
Kolkata, in exercise of the powers vested in me under Section 115, 117, 122 & 126 M.V.Act. 1988
and Section 62, 62(1b) of Calcutta Police Act / 39, 39(1b) of Calcutta Suburban Police Act read with
Rule No. 85, 86, 87, 88 & 93 of Rules for the Regulations of Traffic in Kolkata and Suburbs and under
sub-section (1) of Section 4 of West Bengal Traffic Regulation Act, 1965 (W.B Act XV of 1965) read
with Govt. of West Bengal Home (Transport) Department Order No.7605-WT, dt. the 20th July, 1965
and Govt. of West Bengal Transport Department Notification No. 3363-WT/3M-34/99, dt the 29th
April, 1999, do hereby order that all classes of vehicles and all kind of traffic including pedestrian
traffic for the city of Kolkata shall be regulated in the following manner.
(These additional regulations shall remain in force during the days and hours specified in this
order. All previous orders issued in respect of the areas and the roads, streets and thoroughfares or
portions thereof, which are repugnant to that mentioned below, shall remain suspended during the
period)

[PART - A]
FOR MAHALAYA FESTIVAL

i) No Goods vehicles vehicles (except LPG Vehicles, Vegetable, Fruits & Milk carrying vehicles)
will be allowed to enter the city of Kolkata (within Kolkata Police jurisdiction) from 04 AM to 10 PM on
25.09.2022.
However the Goods vehicles having gross vehicle weight not exceeding 1600 kg (Ex. TATA
ACE, Mahindra Zeeto, Suzuki Super Carry, etc.) shall be allowed from 4 PM onwards.
ii) No Goods Vehicles will be allowed to move along Strand Road and St Georges Gate Road
between Raja Woodmunt Street and Hastings crossings from 04 AM to 04.PM on 25.09.2022.
iii) No Goods Vehicles (except LPG Vehicles, Vegetable, Fruits & Milk carrying vehicles) will be
allowed to move towards north from the following road intersections from 04 AM to 04.PM on
25.09.2022.
a) Rabindra Sarani and K K Tagore Street crossing (near Ganesh Talkies).
b) Vivekananda Road and C R Avenue crossing (near Girish Park).
c) Grey Street and B K Pal Avenue crossing.
d) Manicktala crossing.
e) Aurobinda Sarani and Raja Dinendra Street crossing.
f) Galiff Street and Bidhan Sarani crossing.
g) Strand Road and K K Tagore Street crossing.
h) Cossipore Road and Khagen Chatterjee Road crossing.
i) Khirod Bidhya Binod Avenue and Galiff Street crossing.

iv) No Goods Vehicle (except LPG Vehicles, Vegetable, Fruits & Milk carrying vehicles) will be
allowed along B T Road, Khagen Chatterjee Road, Cossipore Road, Strand Bank Road, Rabindra
Sarani from KVV Avenue up to B K Pal Avenue, Sovabazar Street, Nimtala Ghat Street from 04 AM
to 04.PM on 25.09.2022.

v) No Vehicles (Devotees/Others) will be allowed to move farther south from the crossing of
Kiran Shankar Roy Road and Strand Road however Babu Ghat route buses will be restricted and
diverted from the crossing of Hare Street and Strand Road from 04 AM to 04.PM on 25.09.2022.
vi) Goods Vehicles may also be diverted from any of the arterial roads by the Traffic Police on
duty as and when considered necessary to prevent them moving towards north along B T Road and
Cossipore Road and along Strand Bank Road, Strand Road, St Georges Gate Road, especially
nearly the Bathing Ghats of the River Ganges within the city from 04 AM to 04.PM on 25.09.2022.
vii) All vehicles, except the vehicles carrying devotees, will be diverted from Clyde Road and
Commissariat Road crossing and Clyde Road and St. Georges Road crossing towards Kidderpore
Road and thence Vidyasagar Setu. Devotees should maintain norms of social distancing and health
and hygiene protocols, as per the Government guidelines, inside vehicles from 04 AM to 04.PM on
25.09.2022.
viii) Auckland Road will be closed from Govt. Place (W) for all types of vehicles from 04 AM to
04.PM on 25.09.2022.
ix) Kingsway will be closed for all types of vehicles from Plassey Gate Road crossing, except
devotees vehicles, as and when required.
x) If required, both bound vehicles along Strand Road will be closed in between Auckland Road
crossing and Commissariate Road crossing, except vehicles carrying devotees.
xi) No West bound vehicles will be allowed along Shovabazar Street from Rabindra Sarani
crossing up to Strand Bank Road crossing, as and when required.
xii) Vehicles may also be diverted from any of the arterial roads by the Traffic Police on duty as
and when considered necessary

FOR DURGA PUJA DAYS

During the Tritiya on 28.09.2022 (Wednesday), Chaturthi on 29.09.2022 (Thursday),

Panchami on 30.09.2022 (Friday), Sasthi on 01.10.2022 (Saturday), Saptami on 02.10.2022
(Sunday), Astami on 03.10.2022 (Monday) and Navami on 04.10.2022 (Tuesday) the following
Notifications shall be enforced:

(I) In the interest of public safety and convenience the movement of all types of Goods Vehicles
shall be prohibited to ply within the city of Kolkata as follows:-
Tritiya - From 08 AM on 28.09.2022 to 00.00 AM on 29.09.2022
Chaturthi - From 08 AM on 29.09.2022 to 02 AM on 30.09.2022
Panchami - From 08 AM on 30.09.2022 to 02 AM on 01.10.2022
Sasthi - From 08 AM on 01.10.2022 to 03 AM on 02.10.2022
Saptami - From 08 AM on 02.10.2022 to 04 AM on 03.10.2022
Astami - From 07 AM on 03.10.2022 to 04 AMon 04.10.2022

Exceptions –

 Emergency vehicles like – LPG Vehicles, Milk Van, Vegetable / Fruits carrying Goods
Vehicles, etc.

 Light Goods Vehicles and Port originated / Port bound Goods vehicles shall be
additionally allowed from 12 PM to 3 PM during the restriction period from 28.09.2022 to
04.10.2022.

 Goods vehicles having gross vehicle weight not exceeding 1600 kg (Ex. TATA ACE, Mahindra
Zeeto, Suzuki Super Carry, etc.) shall be additionally allowed from 8 AM to 3 PM on all days
from 28.09.2022 to 04.10.2022.

(II) The following roads shall be closed to all vehicular traffic as specified below, except for
property line vehicles.

(A) N O R T H K O L K A T A
1) From Saptami (02.10.2022) to Navami (04.10.2022) only north bound traffic will ply along
Lock Gate Flyover (24 hours).
2) Rabindra Sarani between New CIT Road and Galiff Street shall be "One Way" from
South to North. Other vehicles shall be diverted by police according to necessity. If required
all South bound vehicles, except Buses and Mini Buses, shall ply along Galiff Street, Ballav
Street, Pal Street and R. G. Kar Road for 5-Point crossing.

3) Except Pvt Cars and small vehicles, no other vehicles like Buses, etc. will be allowed to
move towards south along K V V Avenue from Galiff Street and K V V Avenue upto
Bagbazar Street and K V V Avenue.
4) The Bus Stand of Route No. S21 and 2B shall be shifted to Southern Side of Galiff Street,
inside Tram Depot from Girish Avenue.
5) The Bus Stand of Route No. 240, 3, 1C, 21 and 242 shall be shifted to P K Mukherjee Road.
6) Dani Ghosh Sarani (Beadon Street) between APC Roy Road and Rabindra Sarani shall be
"One Way" from East to West, as and when considered necessary.
7) Bagbazar Street between Bidhan Sarani and Girish Avenue shall be “One Way” from East to
West as and when considered necessary.
8) Nimtala Ghat Street shall be “One Way” from East to West between Rabindra Sarani and
Strand Road / Maharshi Debendra Road.
9) Buses of route No. 15 from Vivekananda Road / A.P.C Roy Road crossing shall take A.P.C.
Roy Road, M.G. Road to Howrah on both Up and Down journeys on 01.10.2022,
02.10.2022, 03.10.2022 and 04.10.2022. Public service vehicles which take a turn towards
the West from College Street and M.G. Road crossing by traveling from North along Bidhan
Sarani shall be routed along A.P.C Roy Road, A.J.C. Bose Road and take M.G. Road for
their destination towards Howrah Railway Station. Vehicle coming along College Street
towards south should go straight towards south. No right turn on M G Road towards west.
10) North bound Buses of route No. 32 & 43 shall ply along Bentinck Street, Rabindra Sarani,
Galiff Street, Cossipore Road and onwards.
Return journey of Bus Route No – 43 will be B. T Road – Raja Manindra Road – Belgachia
Road – R. G. Kar Road – Bhupen Bose Avenue – J. M. Avenue – C. R. Avenue – Esplanade.
11) C.S.T.C. Buses of route No.11/A shall ply along A.P.C Roy Road (from Shyambazar),
Vivekananda Road, C R Avenue, M G Road in both Up and Down journeys during the Puja
days i.e. from 01.10.2022 to 04.10.2022 from 3 PM to midnight or late.
12) Buses of route No. 34 and private buses of route No. 219, 240, 237/1, 217A, C-6 and mini
buses of Route Howrah-Nimta shall not ply along Bidhan Sarani from 03 PM. till past
midnight from 5 point crossing on all the Puja days or as and when considered necessary by
the police on duty. These Buses shall be diverted along A.P.C. Roy Rd, Vivekananda Road,
Bidhan Sarani, College St. and onwards, if considered necessary by the police on duty.
13) Pvt. Buses route No. 78/1, 234/1, 3C/2, 43/1, shall not ply along Bidhan Sarani from 03 PM.
till past midnight from 5-Point crossing on all the Puja days or as and when considered
necessary by the police on duty. These Buses shall be diverted along Bhupen Bose Ave,
J M Avenue, C R Avenue and onwards, if considered necessary by the police on duty.
14) Buses of route No. 2B shall ply along Bidhan Sarani on all the Puja days.
15) Mini Buses of route no. 5 and 17 shall not be allowed to enter Aurobinda Sarani from A.P.C.
Roy Road and shall be diverted along A.P.C Roy Road and Vivekananda Road / Manicktala
Main Road or APC Roy Road, Shyambazar 5 point crossing.
16) No Buses and Mini Buses shall stop on Ultadanga Main Road between 15 No. Bus Stand
and Aurobindo Setu.
17) Buses shall not stop on Vivekananda Rd from Balaram Dey Street to Ramtanu Bose Lane.
18) Jadu Lal Mullick Road shall be “One Way” from North to South and when required may be
suspended.
19) CSTC buses plying along Manicktala Main Road between Kankurgachi and E M Bye Pass
will avail Kankurgachi crossing, CIT Road, Bagmari Road to E M Bye Pass for up and down
journey.
20) Vehicular movement along Maniktala Main Road from Kankurgachi crossing to Bengal
Chemical shall be “ONE WAY” from east to west as and when required.
21) Vehicular movement along Bagmari Road from CIT Road to E M Bypass shall be “ONE
WAY” from west to east as and when required.
22) Buses of Route (i.e. 211A, 211, 215A, Tikiapara to Saltlake, Japanigate to Saltlake and New
Barrackpore to Howrah) those are avail Aurobinda Sarani from Khanna to Hatibagan for
going towards Sovabazar, they would be diverted from APC Road & Aurobinda Sarani
crossing (Khanna crossing) towards Shyambazar 5 Point then Bhupen Bose Avenue then
Sovabazar for suspension all types of vehicular movement along the mentioned stretch
during puja days.

 23) Bus Route (i.e. 217) avail Aurobinda Sarani from Khanna to Hatibagan for going towards
Bidhan Sarani, they would be diverted from APC Road & Aurobinda Sarani crossing
(Khanna crossing) towards for suspension all types of vehicular movement along the
mentioned stretch.
24) Tram services should be restricted all along CIT Road, Maniktala Main Road, Vivekananda
Road and A P C Road.
25) Taxies will not be allowed to ply on Manicktala Main Road between CIT Road and E M Bye
Pass.
26) Mini Buses of Rt. Sinthi to Chetla should be shifted to Ghosh Para (near CESC office).
27) There will be No Right Turn for vehicles from all directions at M G Road and C R Avenue
crossing as and when considered necessary.
28) Aurobinda Sarani between APC Roy Road and J M Avenue shall be “One Way” from West
to East.
29) Auto Rickshaw shall be restricted all along CIT Road from Phoolbagan crossing to
Kankurgachi crossing for Auto Route - Phool Bagan to Ganesh Takies, ID to R G Kar &
Bengal Chemical to Kaiser Street.
30) Auto Rickshaw shall be restricted all along R D Street from Ultadanga Road to Gas Street
for Auto Route - ID to R G Kar, Karunamoyee to R G Kar and Kaiser St. to R G Kar.
31) Auto Rickshaw shall be restricted all along Maniktala Main Road from Kankurgachi to
Bangal Chemical for Auto Route - Bengal Chemical to Kaiser Street and Kankurgachi to
Karunamoyee.
32) Auto Rickshaw shall be restricted all along Ultadanga Main Road and Aurobinda Sarani
from Ultadanga Station to Hatibagan crossing for Auto Route - Ultadanga to Jorabagan,
Ultadanga to Sovabazar, Ultadanga to Ahiritola Launch Ghat and Karunamoyee to R G Kar.
33) Auto Rickshaw shall be restricted all along Ultadanga Main Road and E M Bypass from
Ultadanga Station to Saltlake 2nd entry for Auto Route - Ultadanga to Saltlake and
Karunamoyee to R G Kar.
34) Auto Rickshaw shall be restricted along Durgapur Bridge from Ultadanga Station to
Dakshindari for Auto Route - Ultadanga to Baguihati, Ultadanga to Laketown and Ultadanga
to Airport.
35) Auto Rickshaw shall be restricted all along Beadon Street from APC Road to Bidhan Sarani
for Auto Route - Maniktala to Ahiritolla Launch Ghat.
36) Auto Rickshaw shall be restricted all along Maniktala Main Road and Vivekananda Road
from Kankurgachi crossing to Bidhan Sarani for Auto Route - Phool Bagan to Ganesh
Takies and ID to R G Kar.
37) Auto Rickshaw shall be restricted all along Canal Circular Road from Gaznabi Bridge to Slip
Road & E M Bypass crossing.
38) Tram Service along Bidhan Sarani shall be restricted.
39) Vehicles coming along Cossipore Road will not be allowed to move further north along
Cossipore Road. They will be diverted towards east along Khagen Chatterjee Road to avail
B T Road for northward journey from 07 AM to 12 PM on 03.10.2022 for Kumari Puja.

(B) C E N T R A L K O L K A T A
1) B.B. Ganguly Street shall be “One Way” from West to East between College Street and Raja
Ram Mohan Roy Sarani. It will be “Both Way” upto C R Avenue as and when required.
2) Muktaram Babu Street between C.R. Avenue and Bidhan Sarani shall be “One Way” from
West to East.
3) Entry into Giri Babu Lane shall be prohibited from B.B. Ganguly Street.
4) Raja Ram Mohan Roy Sarani between B.B. Ganguly Street and Vivekananda Road shall be
“One Way” from South to North, except for Tram Cars, as and when considered necessary
by the police on duty.
5) College Street / Bidhan Sarani shall be “One Way” from North to South between
Vivekananda Road and B.B. Ganguly Street.
6) No Buses or Mini Buses shall stop on C.R. Avenue between M. M. Burman Street and
Colootola Street.

 7) Bentinck Street and Amherst Street will remain open for South to North. College Street,
Bidhan Sarani (till 10 PM) will remain open for North to South. S N Banerjee Road and
Beadon Street will remain open for East to west. Lenin Sarani and Keshab Chandra Sen
Street will remain open for West to East.

27) Vehicular traffic approaching Park Circus Maidan from the West shall proceed around the
Gyratory to Surawardy Avenue, Darga Road, No. 4 Rly Bridge or New Park Street, Congress
Exhibition Road. Vehicular traffic approaching from C.I.T Road shall proceed along Darga
Road, No. 4 Rly Bridge or New Park Street, Congress Exhibition Road and Syed Amir Ali
Avenue, as and when considered necessary.
28) Entry into Orient Row shall be prohibited from New Park Street, as and when considered
necessary.
29) Right Hand Turn from R.B. Avenue into Sarat Bose Road (Lansdowne Road) towards North
and South shall be allowed as and when possible.
30) Entry into Balaram Bose Road shall be prohibited from Harish Mukherjee Road.
31) No Bus shall stop on Hazra Road between Priyanath Mullick Road and Harish Mukherjee
Road.
32) Buses of route No.42 shall move along Sarat Bose Road (Lansdowne Road) and Meghnath
Saha Sarani (Southern Avenue) and then to S.P.Mukherjee Road for South bound journeys
and move from S.P.Mukherjee Road and Hazra crossing towards East along Hazra Road and
then on to Sarat Bose Road for North bound journeys, as and when considered necessary by
the police on duty.
33) South bound vehicles on Gariahat Road except Buses and Mini Buses shall be channelised via
Hazra Road, Sarat Bose Road, Southern Avenue, in case of extreme necessity.
a) Auto Rickshaws shall not be allowed to ply towards North beyond Sukanta Setu. They
should be diverted from Sukanta Setu and take ‘U’ turn from further south.
b) Auto Rickshaw coming from Golf Green shall not be allowed to ply along Prince Anwar Shah
Road. They will also not be allowed to take ‘U’ Turn at Lords Bakery, ‘U’ turn should be taken
from further South.
c) Auto Rickshaws shall not be allowed to ply along entire stretch of Rash Behari connector
including Bijon Setu from Ruby Hospital to Bijon Setu in both the directions. They will be
diverted from Rubi towards Siemens, Rubi Park, Rajdanga Main Road, B B Chatterjee Road
upto R B Connector via any artillery roads.
d) Auto Rickshaws coming from Alipore Road shall not be allowed towards East from Chetla
Central Road crossing and Alipore Road crossing.
e) Auto Rickshaws shall not be allowed to ply towards North from D. P. Shasmal Rd & NSC
Bose Rd crossing. They should be taken ‘U’ turn from Tollygunge Metro Stn. or further south.
f) Auto Rickshaws of Topsia to Park Circus route shall not be allowed to ply towards West
from Eastern slope of No. 4 Railway Bridge. Instead their terminus will be inside Tiljala Road
near Eastern slope of No. 4 Railway Bridge.
g) Auto Rickshaws shall not be allowed to ply towards North along Biresh Guha Street after
Loha Pool.
h) Auto Rickshaws shall not be allowed to ply towards North along Syed Amir Ali Avenue
beyond the crossing of Jhawtala Road.
i) Auto Rickshaws of Dharmatala to Park Circus route shall not be allowed to ply towards East
beyond Karaya Road and Park Street crossing. Instead they shall take Karaya Road towards
South, Shakespeare Sarani towards West and A J C Bose Road.
34) a) North Bound vehicles coming from South on Prince Anwar Shah Road, except Buses and
Mini Buses, shall be diverted along Prince Anwar Shah Road, Lake Gardens Fly Over and
further onwards, as and when considered necessary.
b) North bound Buses and Mini Buses which take left turn from Gariahat crossing for westward
journey along Rash Behari Avenue shall be diverted along Gol Park, Southern Avenue, Sarat
Bose Road, etc.
c) Autos should not be allowed to ply (i) along Hazra Rd, (ii) Prince Anwar Shah Rd (iii)
Gariahat Road and Gariahat Road (S), (iv) Prince Anwar Shah connector West of Ganguly
Pukur, (v) Bondel Road, (vi) S P Mukherjee Road, (vii) D P Sashmal Road, (viii) Tollygunge
Circular Rd, (ix) Chetla Central Road.

 d) No Buses and Mini Buses, meant for Gol Park or Jadavpur or further South, shall be allowed
to ply along Rash Behari Avenue towards East from Sarat Bose Road crossing. These Buses
and Mini Buses shall ply along Sarat Bose Rd, Southern Avenue, Gol Park for Dhakuria
Bridge.
35) The following Bus and Mini Bus termini shall be shifted :
a) Route No. 37, 47 and 47A from Dhakuria to Golf Green.
b) Route No. 240 from the crossing of Gariahat Road (South) and Prince Anwar Shah Road to
Golf Green.
c) Route No. L-9, 221, from Gol Park to the western side lane of Vivekananda Park off
Southern Avenue.
d) Jodhpur Park Mini Bus Stand shall be shifted to Prince Anwar Shah Road connector near
Surya Sen Bhawan.
e) Buses of Route No.13C, 234, AC5, 37A, 80B shall be diverted from Deshopriya Park via
Sarat Bose Road – Southern Avenue – Golpark then respective destinations instead of
R.B.Avenue – Gariahat Road – Golpark.
36) Rt. 17 Buses will proceed along north from Rash Behari crossing instead of taking left towards
R B Avenue further west.
37) Park Street and Shakespeare Sarani shall be “One Way” from West to East and East to West
respectively from 13.00 hours to 00.00 AM between AJC Bose Road and Park Circus 7 point
crossing, as and when considered necessary.
38) If required, South bound vehicles along Gariahat Road shall be channelised through Gariahat
Flyover from near Pantaloon Showroom, except Bijon Setu bound buses, mini buses and
property line vehicles, which shall be allowed to proceed towards South along Gariahat Road
beside the eastern side of Flyover from Pantaloon Showroom and take left turn to Rash Behari
Avenue for eastward journey.
39) If required, North bound vehicles intend to ply towards Ballygunge Phanri from Golpark shall be
channelised through Gariahat Flyover, except Bijon Setu bound buses and mini buses including
property line vehicles, which shall be allowed to proceed towards north along Gariahat Road
beside the western side of Flyover from Golpark and take right turn to Rash Behari Avenue for
eastward journey.
40) No vehicles shall be allowed to take right turn from Rash Behari Avenue to Gariahat Road in
the direction from East to West towards North. They shall be diverted towards south along
Gariahat Road from Rash Behari Avenue and move around Golpark to take Gariahat Flyover
for northward journey. Similarly, no vehicles shall be allowed to take Right turn from Rash
Behari Avenue on to Gariahat Road in the direction from West to East towards South, but they
shall be allowed to take left turn for northward journey along Gariahat Road.
Vehicles other than Buses and Mini Buses intend to ply towards North along Gariahat Road
from Bijon Setu shall be allowed to avail Rash Behari Avenue, Cornfield Road, Swinhoe Street,
Gariahat Road in case of extreme emergency.
41) Buses and Mini Buses shall not be allowed to ply through Swinhoe Street (Anil Moitra Road),
Cornfield Road.
42) Vehicles coming from north of Kolkata along VIP Road & EM Bye Pass will avail CIT Road
from Ultadanga crossing, Manicktala Main Road, Narkeldanga Main Road and Beliaghata Main
Road to enter city and then proceed southward taking any of the main roads, like A.P.C.. Roy
Road, A.J.C. Bose Road, C.R Avenue, J.L Neheru Road, Ashutosh Mukherjee Road,
S.P.Mukherjee Road, D.P.Sasmal Road, Sarat Bose Road, Syed Amir Ali Avenue etc.
43) All small vehicles going to Bijon Setu and R.B.Connector from north will take left turn from
Gariahat Road on to Swinhoe Street and follow Cornfield Road, Rash Behari Avenue etc.
44) In case of any emergent situation, like overcrowding and/or serious congestion along Rash
Behari Avenue connector the “One Way” system along Ballygunge Place, Swinhoe Street will
be implemented. Vehicles intend to come out from Rash Behari connector via Bijon Setu
towards west, will be diverted via Rash Behari Avenue, Cornfield Road, Swinhoe Street,
Gariahat Road or along Rash Behari Avenue towards west etc. and to avoid Rash Behari
Avenue connector east bound traffic along Rash Behari Avenue from Gariahat Road crossing
will be diverted towards south and/or north along Gariahat Road.
45) Bus Stand of Route 72 on Surawarthy Avenue will change their direction from the crossing of
Dr. Sundari Mohan Avenue and Gorachand Road.

E M Byepass, if required.
47) Manoharpukur Road from S P Mukherjee Road to Sarat Bose Road will move towards West to

49) No vehicles shall be allowed to take ‘U’ turn or Right turn on Prince Anwar Shah Road in
between Jadavpur PS to Dhaka Kalibari, as and when considered necessary.
50) 3B Buses will proceed along north from Rash Behari crossing, instead of taking left towards R
B Avenue further west.
51) Balmiki Road shall be “One Way” from East to West.
52) Priya Nath Mullick Road shall be “One Way” from South to North.
53) Buses of Route No. GL-3 (CSTC) and Mini Bus of Route Thakurpukur to Ultadanga shall ply
along D H Road, Sahapur Road, D P Sashmal Road, S P Mukherjee Road, Southern Avenue,

84) Rakhal Das Auddy Road and Gopal Nagar Road shall be one way from north to south and
south to north as and when considered necessary.
85) No vehicles shall be allowed to take ‘U’ turn or ‘Right Turn’ from S P M Road and Kali Temple
Road crossing.
86) No vehicles shall be allowed towards south along Rakhal Das Auddy Rd from Mosari More
(Chetla Rd Xing) towards Chetla Central Road.
87) Paramahansh Deb Road shall be one way from North to South as and when considered
necessary
88) No vehicles shall be allowed towards south along Jainuddin Mistri Lane from Chetla Central

89) If required, west bound vehicles of R B Avenue shall be restricted from Rashbehari crossing
and may be diverted towards North along S P M Road for time bound.

(D) SOUTH SUBURBAN KOLKATA

1) No vehicles shall be allowed to take ‘Right Turn’ on Sukanta Setu towards South Road. These
vehicles shall take Avenue South Road and Park Terrace.
2) Autos Rickshaws of Route Garia to Golpark on Raja Subodh Ch. Mullick Road shall not find
entry towards north after Sukanta Setu crossing.
3) (i) Auto Rickshaw shall not ply along NSC Bose Road from Gachtala to Bunty Bridge
from 03 PM.
(ii) 41 Bus Stand at Gachtala on NSC Bose Rd will be shifted beside the lanes, inside Moor Ave.
(iii) Naktala-Howrah Mini Bus Stand, near Naktala Petrol Pump will be shifted behind Vivek
Bridge on N.S.C.Bose Road.
4) Auto Rickshaws shall not be allowed to ply along entire stretch of Rash Behari Connector
including Bijon Setu from Ruby Island to Bijon Setu on both directions. Instead they will be

 6 “Govt. big Volvo buses of Route No. S-9, AC-9, AC-9B, S-5C. AC-5, AC-27B, S-4B, MW-1 shall
be diverted from the western end of Sukanta Setu and Ajoynagar crossing on E. M. Bypass to
avoid the total stretch of Santoshpur Avenue and to ply all along E. M. Bypass, Patuli crossing,
Baishnabghata –Patuli Connector and Raja S. C. Mullick Road”.
7) No Right Turn should be imposed for all south bound vehicles intending to take right turn at
Jadavpur PS crossing after coming south on Gariahat Road (S).
8) Buses of RTs No 240, 37,223,234,42B and Mini Bus of Route alignments Golf Green to Howrah
Station (110), Prince Anwar Shah to Nimtala (137) shall avail Southern Avenue, Lake Gardens
flyover, P.A.Shah Road from Golpark instead of Dhakuria Bridge, Gariahat Road (s) for their
onwards journey.
9) Auto route (i) Ruby-Calcutta Public School, (ii) Ruby-Baghajatin, (iii) Ruby-Jadavpur PS, (iv)
Ruby-Gariahat & (v) Ruby-Chinar Park shall not be allowed to ply from Avisikta crossing to VIP
Bazar crossing on E M Bye Pass from 04 PM.
Auto Rickshaws will not ply on R B Connector from 02 PM.
Auto Rickshaws of route Garia to Golpark shall be restricted to ply along Raja S C Mullick Road
in between Garia crossing and Padmashree Cinema.
10) Bus route along Jibananada Setu towards west like Garia Station to Howrah Station Mini Bus
will not be allowed to take right turn from Jadavpur PS crossing. They will go along Anwar Shah
Road further west and will avail Lake Gardens flyover.
11) Road of ‘’ E E D F ‘’ will be used for South bound vehicle & Ashok Lab Lane will be for North
Bound vehicle.
12) Autos of route Jadavpur to Taratala on Prince Anwar Shah Road shall not move east from Lords
Bakery crossing.
13) West bound vehicles along Prince Anwar Shah Connector shall not take right turn at Jadavpur
PS crossing. Instead these vehicles will be allowed to take right turn at P A Shah Road and
Lake Gardens Flyover crossing.

(E) SOUTH WEST KOLKATA

1) North bound Buses and Mini Buses of James Long Sarani shall be diverted from Diamond Park
towards Diamond Harbour Road. If required, South bound Buses and Mini Buses along James
Long Sarani shall also be regulated as and when considered necessary.
2) Slow moving vehicles shall be restricted to ply, stand or park along D H Road/Biren Roy Road
(W), Banamali Naskar Rd, Arya Samity Rd, Panchanantala Rd, M G Road, James Long Sarani.
3) No vehicles will be allowed to move along Banamali Naskar Road from West to East between
Banerjee Para Road and D H Road.
4) No vehicles will be allowed to get entry along Arya Samity Road from D H Road crossing,
except property line vehicles till 06 PM.
5) Both bound Buses of Banamali Naskar Road shall be diverted along Taratala Road, CSTC
Garage, Parnashee Jheel then to Parnashee Bus Stand and vice versa. Auto Rickshaws with
passengers will be allowed to get entry from D H Road from East to West only. East bound Auto
Rickshaws and property line vehicles along Banamali Naskar Road shall be diverted from
Banerjee Para Road crossing then Pathak Para Road to D H Road and will terminate at western
side of D H Road near the crossing of Banamali Naskar Road.
6) M.G. Road will remain one-way in between Karunamoyee Bridge and Banarjee Para Road
crossing from 04 PM. All types of vehicle including Buses and Minibuses will be allowed only to
ply towards south from Karunamoyee crossing
7) M G Road will remain both way at the following stretches:-
1) In between Sriti more and Karunamoyee crossing.
2) In between Banerjee Para Road & M.G. Road crossing to Julpia Road & M.G. Road
Kabardanga crossing (except north bound Buses and Minibuses)
3) In between Julpia Road & M.G. Road crossing (Kabardanga More) to D.H. Road and M.G.
Road crossing (3A Bus Stand crossing).
8) All types of North bound vehicles including Auto Rickshaws of M.G. Road (except Buses and
Mini Buses) will be allowed up to M.G Road and Banerjee Para Road crossing and from there
these vehicles will be diverted along Banerjee Para Road to reach Karunamoyee crossing.
9) 4C and S4C (Govt. Buses) will terminate at 3A Bus Stand (Thakurpukur) instead of 4C Bus
Stand ( Haridevpur).

10) No Buses or Mini Buses will be allowed towards north from Kabardanga (M.G. Road and Julpia
Road crossing) crossing. Rt-40A coming along Julpia Road will take left turn from Kabardanga
crossing and move towards west along M.G. Road and from 3A Bus Stand crossing these
Buses will take right turn on D.H Road for their northward journey. Similarly Kalitala-Howrah
Minibus (Rt-S-117) starting from Kalitala on M.G. Road will move towards west instead of east
and from 3A Bus Stand crossing, these Buses will take right turn to D.H. Road for their
northward journey. Rt-40B starting from Thakurpukur P.S. will avail D.H. Road instead of M.G.
Road for their northward journey. Rt-12C/1B , Rt-C-8 & C- 8A (CTC Buses) coming along D.H.
Road from WBP area and Rt- 4C & S4C (Govt. Buses) starting from 3A Bus Stand will not
allowed to enter M.G. Road from 3A Bus Stand crossing, and these Buses will be diverted
further north along D.H. Road.
11) West bound Buses and Mini Buses of different routes (Including Govt. Buses M-18, S-16, S-31)
should be diverted from Raja Ram Mohan Roy Road & Motilal Gupta Road (Muchipara
crossing) to avail Motilal Gupta Road, thence to James Long Sarani & D.H Road.
12) Buses and Minibuses of different routes, which will be diverted along D.H. Road such as 40A,
40B, 12C/1B, 4C & S4C (Govt. Buses),C-8 & C-8A(CTC Buses), Kalitala – Howrah Minibuses
(Rt- S-117) of M.G. Road and S-31 (Govt. Bus), SD-4/1, 21 and Sarada Park-Ruby Minibus(Rt-
KS-1) of Santosh Roy Rd., which will be negotiated through Janakalayan Road from D.H. Road
and will be diverted towards north from Janakalayan Road & J.L Sarani crossing to avail Raja
Ram Mohan Roy Road, M.G. Road to Karunamoyee Bridge for their northward journey.
13) Return journey of the routes such as 40A, 40B, 12C/1B, 4C & S4C (Govt. Buses), C-8 & C-8A
(CTC Buses), Kalitala -Howrah Minibuses (Rt- S-117) will be their usual route alignment.
14) Auto Rickshaws shall be restricted to ply along D.H. Road from 03 PM on all the puja days.
15) Chowrastha / Sakher Bazar to Tollyguange Auto Stand will be shifted from D.H. Road to
Santosh Roy Road near SBI ATM during puja days.
16) Janakalyan Road will remain ‘One Way’, All types of vehicles including diverted Buses and
Minibuses of M.G. Road and Santosh Roy Road will move towards east from D.H. Road
crossing. West bound vehicles of Janakalyan Road will be diverted from Janakalyan Road and
James Long Sarani crossing towards north along James Long Sarani to avail Biren Roy Road
(East).
17) Biren Roy Road East between D H Road and James Long Sarani will remain ‘One Way’ from
East to West.
18) CSTC Bus Terminus of Route 3A/1 shall be temporarily shifted to State Garage at Thakurpukur
from Roy Bahadur Road (from Panchami to Navami).
19) Buses shall not be allowed to ply on Biren Roy Road (East) in between James Long Sarani and
D H Road crossing on all the Puja days, as and when considered necessary.
20) Auto Rickshaws and Cycle Rickshaws Stands shall be removed from Chowrasta crossing upto
50 yards.
21) S N Roy Road will remain One Way from east to west in between T C Road and D H Road.
They will not be allowed to take Buroshibtala Main Road from D H Road, they will take left turn
for Behala Tram Depot.
22) Sil Thakurbari Lane will remain One Way from east to west from 06 AM to 01 PM and west to
east from 01 PM to 06 AM in between James Long Sarani and D H Road (for 24 hours).
23) Vehicular traffic may be restricted to take Buroshibtala Main Road from Chanditala crossing
(Roy Bahadur Road/ Buroshibtala Main Road).
24) S N Roy Road will remain one way from west to east in between D H Road and James Long

25) Buses plying along Paharpur Road will be diverted along Taratala Road and Garden Reach

(iii) No vehicles shall park on the following roads from 03 PM till immersion processions are over

7) Aurobinda Sarani, West of J. M. Avenue intersection.
8) Harish Mukherjee Road.
9) Hazra Road between S.P Mukherjee Road and Kalighat Bridge (Bridge inclusive).
10) Chaul Putty Road.
11) Suburban School Road.
12) Kalighat Road.
13) Sambhu Nath Pandit Street.
14) Gosthapal Sarani (Kingsway).
15) Strand Road between Gosthapal Sarani (Kingsway) and Man-O-War-Jetty/Water
Gate/Gwalior Ghat, except Immersion vehicles.

(vi) Route to Ghats -

1) On Immersion days, route of Mysore Ghat, Keoratala Burning Ghats, Adi Ghat on the South of
Hazra Road shall be via R.B. Avenue, Kalighat Road and Tollygunge Road.
2) On Immersion days, route to Ghats on Adi Ganga, North of Hazra Road, shall be as follows :
Hazra Road - Harish Mukherjee Road - Balaram Bose Ghat Road - Harish Chatterjee Street and go
out by Harish Chatterjee Street and Hazra Road.
3) On Immersion days, vehicles carrying images shall proceed to the Ghats on the South Moorings
(Strand Road) South of Gosthapal Sarani (Kingsway) via Gosthapal Sarani and Strand Road. After
immersions the vehicles shall leave Strand Road towards South i.e. St. Georges Gate Road.
Similarly vehicles carrying images shall proceed to Baza and Kadamtala Ghat on Strand Road from
Ghothapal Sarani and after immersion the vehicles shall leave Strand Road towards North.
4) Vehicles carrying images bound for Jagannath Ghat shall move along Vivekananda Road, K. K.
Tagore Street and Cross Road No. 5.
5) Image carrying vehicles should not be allowed to ply on AJC Bose Road Flyover & MAA Flyover.
6) On Immersion days, route of Kumartuli Ghat on the North shall be via Jatindra Mohan Avenue -
Madan Mohan Tala Street - Rabindra Sarani - Durga Charan Banerjee Street - Strand Bank Road.
7) On Immersion days, route of Sovabazar Ghat / Ahiritola Ghat on the North shall be via Jatindra
Mohan Avenue - B K Pal Avenue - Nimtala Ghat Street - Maharshi Debendra Road - Ahiritola Street
- Strand Bank Road.
8) On Immersion days, route of Nimtala Ghat on the North shall be via Jatindra Mohan Avenue - B K
Pal Avenue - Nimtala Ghat Street - Strand Bank Road.
From East and Central Kolkata for Nimtala Ghat, Ahiritola Ghat, Sovabazar Ghat shall be via C R
Avenue - J M Avenue - Beadon Street - Nimtala Ghat Street - Strand Bank Road.

 (v) Vehicular traffic shall be regulated in the manner indicated against each from 03 PM till
immersion processions are over on 05.10.2022, 06.10.2022, 07.10.2022, 08.10.2022, 10.10.2022
and 11.10.2022.

1) Harish Chatterjee Street shall be “One Way” from North to South.

2) Balaram Bose Ghat Road shall be “One Way” from East to West.
3) Gosthapal Sarani (Kingsway) shall be “One Way” from East to West, likewise Kshudiram Bose
Road shall be “One Way” from West to East.
4) Sovabazar St shall be “One Way” from West to East i.e. from Strand Bank Rd to Rabindra Sarani.
5) Beadon Street shall be “One Way” from East to West.
6) Nimtala Ghat Street shall be “One Way” from East to West.
7) Durga Charan Banerjee Road shall be “One Way” from East to West.
8) Strand Bank Rd from Nimtala Ghat St to Sovabazar St shall be “One Way” from South to North.
9) Ratan Babu Road shall be “One Way” from East to West.
10) Pramanick Ghat Road shall be “One Way” from West to East.
11) Vehicles carrying images coming to South side of Nimtala Ghat shall go out via Strand Bank Road
and Armenian Ghat etc. Those going to Ghats North of Nimtala Ghat Street shall go out via
Sovabazar Street.
12) No immersion processions will be allowed along C R Avenue & J M Avenue and along
Vivekananda Rd towards West from C R Avenue crossing and on K K Tagore St, if required.
13) Vehicular Traffic along Regent Estate, Layalka Lane will be regulated as and when considered
necessary. No immersion procession will be allowed to come from Regent Estate Library from
North towards South, they will avail Layalka Lane – Raipur Road – Regent Estate.
14) No North bound movement will be allowed from Netaji Nagar side.
15) No immersion procession will be allowed to come towards Parnashree Jheel from North West
Corner of the Pond, they will be diverted to take Banamali Naskar Road / Upen Banerjee Road
thence to the Eastern side – Northern side – Western side- for dispersal. No Vehicular traffic will be
allowed in the immersion route.
16) Strand Road between Cross Road V to Nimtala Ghat Street shall be “One Way” from North to
South.
17) On immersion Days route to ghat at Bibeknagar Jheel should be only via Palbazar crossing along
Jheel Road”.
18) South Road shall be “One Way” from North to South
19) Park Terrace shall be “One Way” from East to West.
20) Buses plying along Paharpur Road will be diverted along Taratala Road and Garden Reach Road
from 03 PM and till such time the police considers it necessary.
21) Movements of Buses will also be restricted along Garden Reach Road and will either terminate at
Ramnagar crossing or Kanchi Sarak from 03 PM in view of immersions at Bichalighat.

(vi) 1) Tram Cars and Buses on Bidhan Sarani, College Street and Rabindra Sarani shall be
suspended from 03 PM onwards, as and when considered necessary by the police on duty.
2) Tram services shall be restricted all along CIT Road, Maniktala Main Road, Vivekananda Road
and A P C Road from 03 PM till finish.
3) Tram services shall be restricted all along Bidhan Sarani from Hatibagan crossing to
Thanthania Kali Bari from 03 PM till finish.
4) North bound Buses along Bidhan Sarani shall be diverted via Vivekananda Road and APC
Roy Road to the terminus and South bound Buses shall be diverted from Shyambazar 5 point
crossing along APC Roy Road and Vivekananda Road according to the direction of the police on
duty.
5) Buses of suburban routes now having terminus on Strand Road and Eden Gardens, Band
Stand shall be shifted to Kiran Sankar Roy Road on 05.10.2022, 06.10.2022, 07.10.2022 and
08.10.2022 from 01 PM to 04 AM next day. Likewise, the Buses having terminus on Kshudiram
Bose Road shall also be shifted to the aforesaid road on the aforesaid dates and times.
On those days, they shall proceed via R R Avenue, Govt. Place East, B.B.D Bag (South),
Hare Street, Strand Road and terminate on Kiran Sankar Roy Road. During the return journey,
those buses shall move along Strand Road, Fairlie Place, around B.B.D Bag, Old Court House
Street, Govt. Place East and then take normal route.

 6) Up and Down journeys of Bus route no. 15 shall be via Howrah Bridge Approach Road,
M.G.Road, C.R.Avenue, Vivekananda Road, APC Roy Road to destination. Up and Down
journeys of Bus route no.11 and 11A shall be via Howrah Bridge, M. G. Road, Rabindra Sarani,
Vivekananda Road and APC Roy Road to and from Howrah.
Auto Rickshaw shall be restricted all along Maniktala Main Road and Vivekananda Road from
Kankurgachi crossing to Bidhan Sarani from 03 PM till finish for Auto Route - Phool Bagan to
Ganesh Takies and ID to R G Kar.
Auto Rickshaw shall be restricted all along Beadon Street from APC Road to Bidhan Sarani from
03 PM till finish during Immersion days for Auto Route - Maniktala to Ahiritolla Launch Ghat.

VEHICULAR TRAFFIC MAY ALSO BE DIVERTED FROM ANY OF THE ARTERIAL AND
FEEDER ROADS BY TRAFFIC POLICE ON DUTY AS AND WHEN CONSIDERED NECESSARY IN
THE INTEREST OF THE PUBLIC ON 28.09.2022, 29.09.2022, 30.09.2022, 01.10.2022, 02.10.2022,
03.10.2022, 04.10.2022, 05.10.2022, 06.10.2022, 07.10.2022, 08.10.2022, 10.10.2022 and
11.10.2022.

PEDESTRIAN TRAFFIC MAY BE REGULATED FROM ANY OF THE ROADS/ STREETS

AND THOROUGHFARES WITHIN THE CITY BY POLICE ON DUTY AS THE SITUATION
DEMANDS ON ON 28.09.2022, 29.09.2022, 30.09.2022, 01.10.2022, 02.10.2022, 03.10.2022,
04.10.2022, 05.10.2022, 06.10.2022, 07.10.2022, 08.10.2022, 10.10.2022 and 11.10.2022.

These Notifications shall be enforced in addition to the other normal restrictions on those
days, which are not repugnant to above.
