REFLECTION MODULES 1-5

📍MODULE 1
I found the Contemporary World to be interesting. Because it covers a variety of
underlying subjects, I may learn about and understand our world's socioeconomic,
cultural, and religious aspects as well as globalization, nationalism, modernism,
and global standing. Globalization is the course's main focus. Here, several
definitions were presented, and I discovered that despite the global connections
and union, there are still several drawbacks that were mentioned. For instance,
when it comes to economic standing, rich countries get richer while impoverished
countries get poorer. In agriculture, human work is typically insignificant, while
profit is controlled by the top management.

📍 MODULE 2
Globalization brings the 21st Century more evolvement, it is hard to go for
globalization but it is a benefit after all. The world Globalization is very wide and it
is setting us(the people) to see the overview of the world so let's go for the
Metaphors of Globalization and it has contained solid and liquid. So much if the
world has "melted" or is in the process of "melting" and has become liquefied,
globalization is increasingly characterized by great flows of increasingly liquid
phenomena of all types, including people, objects, information, decisions, places,
and so on. Because of this interdependence, globalization may be described as "a
process which embodies a transformation in the spatial organization of social
relations and transactions, expressed in transcontinental or interregional flows and
networks of activity, interaction, and power."

📍MODULE 3
The emergence of a global economy implies the need for some form of global
economic governance. The same functions that governments perform at the
national level will have to be performed at the global level. More and better
governance is required, not less; satisfactory global economic arrangements are
still only a distant prospect. Most of the world recognizes democratic principles
and the universal validity of basic human rights. There remains a huge gap
between political rhetoric and policy-practice. If new processes and governance
arrangements for the global economy are to carry worldwide credibility, they must
provide greater influence and power for developing countries.

📍MODULE 4
My conclusions for this lesson are that there are many international organizations
that are organized and assist the global economy, such as NAFTA (North America
Free Trade Agreement), which is an agreement between the United States,
Canada, and Mexico for free trade within their borders, and WTO, or the World
Trade Organization, which manages the international trade rules to ensure that
trade flows as smoothly, predictably, and freely as possible.
Additionally, I now understand the differences between international and
multinational corporations. International corporations are merely importers and
exporters with no investments outside of their home countries, whereas
multinational corporations only make investments abroad without having a
unified product.
Transnational Companies are another option; they are more complicated,
concentrate on overseas business, and have their own central corporate.

📍MODULE 5
The Global Interstate System is the focus of this topic, which also mentions
System. Since it is perceived as "the force that fuels conflict and sets monetary
policies
for a nation, "Researchers studying global politics have long been interested in the
most. The state is also a political body with the authority to run its own affairs. In
other words, its borders are known to other countries. The person who has power
over those
borders has the power to determine exactly what will happen in their country.
Global The first aspect of governance in the twenty-first century is "extremely
contingent and in change."The second element is the massive flows of various
things that frequently collide with each other.
