Be Creative
Moving Image Festival
Be Creative Moving Image Festival is open to all Creative Media 2
2nd year students. This event will be taking place over the winter period, inviting
individuals or production teams to submit a selection of short films, stop motion
and music videos for a particular audience.
In my case I will be choosing 18+ Niche as my Target Audience
The Outline
My first initial idea was to create a narrative music video, I must firstly
decide my target audience, my choices are PG Mainstream or 18+ Niche.
I have decided to choose 18+ Niche as it gives me a change to choose a
specific target audience and community. The first thing that comes to
mind is skating, there is a large relationship and community in
skateboarding. If I can find a music video with strong lyrics that interlink
with the visuals, I am looking for this will build a base for me to develop
my idea.
The hard part of this is finding the song for me to base my music video
on a developing my narrative off this by using the lyrics to help me.
Skateboarding is an escape for certain people including me, so I was
thinking of finding a vocal sound to create emotions in my audience.
It will start with a boy named Max and he is in a troubled home with a-lot
of stuff going on, this includes clear family issues and school problems,
his only escape is his skateboard. One night it gets overwhelming and
too much is going on for him to handle the situations, he grabs his board
and goes for a skate, ending up in a field with a sunset where the music
video concludes. This narrative structure will develop over time, but I am
leaning more towards this option and still need to gather feedback from
my peers.
This idea will develop over the next two weeks.
No swearing, no nudity, no drugs (The college Rules & Regulations) The London
Music Video Festival jury studies all submitted works in detail. Therefore, it is
sufficient for this festival that entrants fill out only the required fields in the project
and submission forms. Music videos can be of any length and from any year. The
festival is open to submissions for people from anywhere in the world.
Target Audience
My Target Audience is 18+ Niche I have also decided to choose a Sub genre
for my production to fit my type of viewers.
Production Schedule
There will be multiple drafts of this Production Schedule, it will develop over time.
