WHY SHOULD WE BE WARY ABOUT HOW

WE USE OUR NATURAL RESOURCES?

THE AMOUNT OF CHEMICALS THAT FACTORIES ARE DISPOSING ONTO THE RIVERS
AND LAKES IS NOT ENTIRELY CLARIFIED ACCORDING TO THE DENR. COMMUNITIES
THAT BENEFITED TO THIS SUPPLY SUFFER BECAUSE THEY ARE UNAWARE OF THE
CHEMICALS THAT ARE PREVALENT IN THEIR AREA AND HOW THEIR WATER SUPPLY
IS GRADUALLY BECOMING POISONED. UNFORTUNATELY, DESPITE HAVING A LOT OF RESOURCES WE
SHOULD WARY ABOUT HOW WE USE OUR NATURAL RESOURCES BECAUSE IT MAY AFFECT
EVERYTHING ESPECIALLY OUR HEALTH AND PHYSICAL ASPECT AS AN INDIVIDUAL.

We can ensure that we can preserve our natural resources without

compromising our economic and individual needs if we, people, carefully
manage our use of our natural resources. How? By simply doing little
things that can help to conserve our natural resources such as plating trees,
doing the 3Rs (Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle), reducing our use of plastic,
and volunteer in community projects that we can do as a student. We can
also take the programs made by the LLDA or Laguna Lake Development
Authority as an example of how we can maintain a sustainable ecosystem.

WHAT ARE THE RESPONSIBILITIES OF LLDA TO MANAGE

AND PROTECT OUR NATURAL RESOURCES?

To manage, develop and transform the Laguna

de Bay Region into a vibrant economic zone
through conservation of lake basin resources
and good governance with the participation of
empowered and responsible stakeholders.
