Summary of Your Experiential Learning
I opted for two cities for VITB Experiential Learning Program- City 01 Bangalore and City
02 Chennai.
In Bangalore, the program was dated from 12 September 2022 to 16 September 2022. My day
01 was scheduled as a MATLAB Session at Cranes varsity (ISBC Bangalore). It was a hands-
on session where we were mentored on the basics by an experienced instructor.
Additionally, I got my Day 02 and Day 04 scheduled at Cranes varsity for sessions based on
MATLAB and IoT, respectively. To make sessions more engaging, quizzes were organized at
the end of each session with different rewards. The Day 03 was at CDAC, Electronic City
Bangalore. It was a whole day planned with four different sessions. And the last and most
exciting day was Day 05- Visit IIM Bangalore. Different levels and aspects of Data Science
basics were discussed engagingly and excitingly.

On the one hand, the hands-on sessions at Cranes varsity were full of basic understanding of
new technologies of the market like- IoT, ARM, MATLAB, and Simulink; the lectures at
CDAC were based on various domains of the field like Domain Abuse, Business Continuity
plans, Malware, etc. While on the other hand, the visit to IIM Bangalore was one of a kind in
terms of the exciting aspects shared on Data Science and Hands-on with Tableau.

In Chennai, the program was from 19 September 2022 to 23 September, 2022. It comprised
properly balanced Hands-on sessions and Industrial visits. On day 01, I visited a Hands-on
session at VIT Chennai on Robotics and Health Industry. Day 02 was an industrial tour at
Bahwan Cyber Tek, where they briefed us about their projects. Day 03 was GH Inductions- a
thermal-based industry where the students were given an industry tour. Day 04 was the
Motivate to Innovate session by designated industry experts, and the last day, Day 05, was a
techno-cultural fest at VIT Chennai to end the program ideally. The experience in Chennai
was unique in terms of its visits and designated industries. Though GH Inductions was more
of an ECE-based industry, there was something to learn from every branch. They started with
basics and showed the students the working of emulators. It was a real-life experience of the
Mechanical Industry and its link to CSE. The visit to Bahwan Cyber Tek was focused on
their project overview.

• An excellent session on an emerging technique. All sessions of Cranes
varsity have been good in terms of engagement, delivery of lectures,
pacing through the session, and level of lectures.

by the industry, but since they were already late, they were all admitted.

predict whether the policyholder (customer) will pay the following premium on
time or not.

PROBLEM STATEMENT 02- Business Continuity Planning (Reference -

CDAC Bangalore)

Ransomware Attack on the city of Atlanta in March 2018- This problem

statement shows the reasons to focus on Business Continuity Planning in every
organization. Numerous city services, including government and private sector,
were interrupted. The total recovery took months. The city had disaster recovery
procedures that allowed it to restore critical services.

PROBLEM STATEMENT 03- DevOps (Reference - Hands-on session VIT

Chennai)

An online trading company used to be able to deploy only after trading hours.
Late nights and weekends were terrible for employee morale, and releases may
take several weeks. Using DevOps, his problem of deployment can be solved in
45 seconds.
